Would be a Kremer start if he didn’t give back some of the lead almost immediately…..classic

Not a high leverage guy prior it seems. Looked pretty solid last night. We shall see.

He starting this weekend at home. No reason to do this if he wasn’t gonna start.

The guys they signed aren’t even front of rotation guys (2’s and 3’s) they are 4’s and 5’s. If we had signed guys with a little more upside no ace would have been fine. Injuries hurt the most cause a rotation of elfin. Bradish. Grayson 1-2-3 sounds pretty solid. Every egg seemed to be on Burnes.

All 4 bench players at once is wha t the analytics show? Our 3 hits vs a lefty came from lefties. Hyde match up bullshit doesn’t work. Play the best players daily. These guys are bench players for a reason. We hurt our chances playing all of them at once

He is trash. Memories of 2022-23 should not be enough to keep this guy on the team. Cut him loose.
It’s my biggest Elias issue. We keep these players who no longer have options like we’re afraid they will leave and be better elsewhere. Who cares he and others are hurting this team and need to go.

This offense is a complete embarrassment. What did they do all off season? It clearly wasn’t practice hitting left handed pitching.
Maybe a hitting coach with some actual hitting coach experience would have been a good decision this off season.

Charlie Morton should not be an Oriole when Zach Eflin returns. Brandon young can take his spot. If we’re gonna be mid (cause geeze we are less than mid) let’s let the young guys play.

100% these 2 still better options than Laureano and Mateo hands down. Hate when we play 3-4 bench players any time a lefty is the starter. It’s like playing the game at 75% effectiveness.
Hate this match up BS Hyde plays way way too much. Awful

Yea Baker didn’t get bounced from potential being on their team for a failed physical though. Like the players have any choice on a player signing with the team.
comment in response to

None of the players had any choice in this decision. Dude failed a physical and Toronto overpaid even with the injury history. Will likely backfire as the blue jays will blue jay it.

Congrats! Also share the same sentiment on the bats, nice to see a little life there. Top half of the pen wasn’t going to throw a 0.00 all season. Definitely let this one get away but least it was not ugly like most of our other losses.

Seems like we have had some very shitty umps so far this season. 2-3 times every game seen some head scratchers for sure that don’t go both ways.

Shit move for sure. Failed in Atlanta too.

Was bound to happen. Don’t think it’s gonna be the norm though.

Holy shit, a repeat lineup? What world are we living in? Love it

Easily the best lineup we have fielded all year. Hyde finally did it.

Best lineup we have fielded all season. Let’s get it done!

Be traded for a starter. At this point dude is never gonna play here full time. Hope I’m wrong but we have a lot of the same mold of player and his first stint didn’t really show and confidence

How the hell does he walk after pitching like this. Hurts my back watching
comment in response to

It has. Third turn has looked better so far. offense just been absolute trash.

Yea Perez looking even worse this year. The honeymoon is well over, time to move on.
comment in response to

Agreed. Hitting the ball and scoring takes a ton of pressure off a very subpar staff. Today was an absolute joke. RHP who throws 93-95 Fastball and we had 4 hits. Team last year has 6-7 in first 3 innings. Coaching and manager are the main issues imo as well not GM.

Fully agree. First month is also pretty brutal. Lot of potential or prior playoff teams. Gets a lot easier in May.

Same speech from last season. What are you doing to fix it Hyde.

Long season. Let’s hope they turn it around. And learn from some mistakes.

One pitcher doesn’t solve it all. And clearly we put it all on the burnes train and didn’t want to shell out years. Happens. The money was better yearly here than anywhere. We’re so used to seeing “we made an offer” only to find out it was horrible. Least the offer offered was legit good.
comment in response to

Yea but adley is way more likely before FA with Gunnar being a boros client.
comment in response to

Elias better be on the phone shopping mayo for a legit starter.

I don’t disagree. It’s tough to watch but it’s also 13 games. 10 on the road. Not writing this off yet. Don’t think players are too overly concerned about wins and losses when determining where to sign. Vlad Jr being a very recent example. I’m putting most of these issues on Hyde and his staff.
comment in response to
post
Hmm see I disagree a little. Stop gap pitchers make sense till bradish is healthy. Yes we didn’t get an ace. But money doesn’t just equal wins. Shitty coaching and prep is still shitty with an ace. No coaching changes and expecting different results I agree is the bigger issue than $$$

Extend some players. Eliminate a little anxiety lol.

I don’t think this team is bad. Not one bit. Least not the offense and most of the pen. But 4 hits vs a righty that throws mid 90’s for this team is an absolute joke. Losing is one thing. Embarrassing is another. 500 by May should be the goal still doable. Just hard to watch currently.
comment in response to
post
Keep telling myself 500 by end of month. And that’s still doable. But man this is a tough watch early in the season.
Maybe a nice long homestand can get some of these guys right.
comment in response to
post
That’s bad right? lol. Hard to tell with Hyde’s chipper up beat pressers.
Entire team in an absolute funk isn’t a fluke. That’s coaching.
comment in response to
post
Yea idk why we didn’t go get a known hitting coach. Let’s promote this guy who was here last year when we couldn’t hit a change-up and see if that does anything. Shocker…..it does nothing we still can’t hit a change-up.
comment in response to
post
He should be. Entire team in a funk isn’t players that’s coaching.
comment in response to
post
Agreed. Think it’s hard knowing last few years we have started great and its help propel us. Seems entire roster is just meh. Everyone seems just off. That’s a coaching issue.
comment in response to
post
Elias needs to get on the phone and swing some trades. This rotation is not sustainable for much longer. Thought French knew his business seems like everyone is lost what are we paying these coaches for if we don’t make any adjustments or changes between games?
comment in response to
post
Hyde needs to spend more time figuring out what is wrong with this team and its staff than arguing calls.
Last 2 years we have had great April’s this year we look like an unknown quantity. Keep telling myself 500 by the end of month but watch this team is rough. 2 hits really?
comment in response to
post
Yea a few of these starts wouldn’t look so bad if the offense did more than collect 2 or 3 hits.
