Exhausted Friends Slowly Realize They Were Playing Board Game Wrong Entire 6 Hours

A new government tracker claims DOGE has saved billions from ending federal contracts. But an NPR analysis of the data finds the claimed savings don't add up.

This is where we are now: An elementary school at Fort Campbell has removed all books from its library that so much as *allude* to slavery or the civil rights movement. The wholesale erasure of history in real time.

Read that again. Yes, it says "mandatory death penalty"

"A society grows when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit" What proverbial trees are we planting today?

We’re focused on feeding our kids. Investing in our schools. Making sure child care is affordable. Regardless of the chaos unfolding in Washington, we’re making Minnesota the best state for kids to grow up.

The only thing required for evil to succeed is for good men and women to do nothing.

OMG, Bernie! You cooked him! Straight to a crisp! He might as well be a charred lump on the chair.

UPDATE: This bill was defeated today in the Senate. This is a victory for government accountability and our First Amendment rights.

GOOD NEWS: A federal court temporarily halted President Trump's order to freeze all federal funding, including grants for public health, education, and safety. Trump's order would have devastating consequences for communities in every corner of the nation. Our leaders must block it for good.

I still can't wrap my head around how delulu you have to be to believe Project 2025 was just some fringe thought experiment that nobody really cared about.

Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, “there’s been a massive uptick in social media platforms removing content related to reproductive health care and specifically abortion pills,” EFF’s Lisa Femia told @nytimes.com. "This is an ongoing, increasing problem.”

VICTORY! After over a decade, a federal court has declared that warrantless backdoor searches of US person’s communications collected under Section 702 of FISA is unconstitutional.

We need more developers like this

I'm really annoyed how I'm basically just now finding out about this. I was vaguely aware of protests, but not that they were so widespread.

Can someone tell me how this supposed to help the middle class?

Dr. King spread a message of justice and persisted in the face of hatred.   His legacy calls us to serve each other and to continue striving towards a more inclusive and united Minnesota.

Your annual reminder that Dr. King believed in guaranteed universal basic income that gave all people a dignified life, guaranteed housing for all, guaranteed access to a high quality education, and said that “no one should be forced to live in poverty while others live in luxury.”

Pictures can leave some ambiguity about motion, so here's the video.

Back in the days of punch cards, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and a software patch meant a piece of tape...🦖

If it is I guess I shouldn't be surprised

This was my gym yesterday. The “no one bikes in the winter” is officially dead.

For anyone that cares, they're developing an alternative to Instagram called Flashes. Once it goes live I'll be testing it out, and if it has the same functionality I'll be dropping Instagram. It's been on a slow decline for a solid 3+ years now, and I've been waiting for a reason to jump ship.

I don't use tiktok, and I do agree that its Chinese ownership and their practices are problematic, but even I agree with this. Until our legislation of the Internet and electronics joins the 21st century, nothing will be effective.

IDK how many of my friends need to hear this, but I know some of you do. I know I do.

The Supreme Court will hear a challenge to a provision of the Affordable Care Act that requires insurers to cover the cost of preventative health treatments such as cancer screenings. Understand what's at stake: voxdotcom.visitlink.me/1xCuGx

This but also I expected to see a barely noticeable difference in congestion. I too thought most of the drivers were wealthy enough to not care much about paying the toll, but instead there is a HUGE difference in the photos I've seen.

Where's the lie?

Manhattan smog: fog + pollutants. From 1971-77, the Documerica project captured 20,000 images of America’s environmental impact. Explore these through the National Archives. The photo below is from Documerica—join the movement! Let’s not forget our past, or we’re bound to repeat it.

Who could ever seen this coming!?

There's a forgotten history that should serve as a warning — wildfire isn’t unique to the West. Now the warming climate is increasing the risk of major wildfires across America. And more people are moving to fire-prone areas without realizing the danger.

Wisdom from his many years.

Now that Zuck is expressly permitting women to be called "household objects" and for LGTBQ to have a "mental illness" on Meta platforms, when are we going to get a replacement for Instagram? Cuz this shit is gross.
