You should be. Traveled to LA/Santa Monica many times. People have always been friendly and kind. And it's beautiful! Not quite as beautiful as Vancouver, but awesome. So sorry for what California has been going through. We aren't comfortable traveling there right now, but hope for better days.

Not sure, but I think they can because they are not police, they are ICE or Border security. They can operate within 100 miles of the border, and they can search you just as if you were at the airport. Includes phones and other devices. Scary stuff. No more travelling to the US. Stay safe everyone.
