I'm happy that it turned out that way because I really want to play Silksong 😁

I have the feeling that standalone demos (with a separate steam page) work better than the ones included your game because people can also add reviews to it! (Steam allows you to create a page for the demo for free so it wouldn't cost any money).

It's fine. I learned a lot during the development and I will continue to make some smaller games on Itchio. Also there is a small community that enjoyed the game so I take that as a win. I hope you the best with your project 😊!

There are some good selling games there too but maybe you are right and it can only serve as a way to increase your Steam sells by placing a demo or something like that because most of them give you a key for Steam too.

Hello Kelly! Welcome 😁!

If you are happy with that, then keep developing it that way! The important thing is to continue it's development!

I played the first one when I was younger and really liked it!

That would probably be ideal! What most experienced indie devs recommend is to document your development in social networks because that can work as marketing! And as you said, when you have enough wishlists, join a Fest.

I can't help with tips to get wishlists because my game doesn't have a lot to be honest, but I saw a huge increase while participating in SteamNextFest!

Exactly! Be like those trees and develop your game with all the care you can. The time you spend now will help you avoid problems and bugs in the future! Mine is fine, I'm going to fix some problems of the game today and hopefully to upload an update with those fixes, thank you for asking!

That's it! Keep going until you finish it! ☺️

Hello! I think you added me on Self published but not in one of these. Is there some space for me in one of those too? 😁
