I think we are very lucky, or rather a bunch of people from SpaceX are very lucky that NASA had 60 years of launch experience to declare “no human is allowed with this distance or even a test.” Cause you know SpaceX would have burned multiple people alive by this point already.

I mean they had already destroyed a launchpad during a launch that didn’t blow up on the pad. I guess it’s just been dumb luck that this hasn’t happened before.

I never understood this! I know NASA had some volatile tanks near their pads cause sometimes you have too. But never anything like this.
