I play fantasy football. I sometimes try to read Pep Guardiola's mind.

Its ok because by the same fan logic if you sign Chris Wood he will score around 47 goals a season for you.

I'd say season over but we were already there 😂

That's great, delbt a dud hand and achieved a dream regardless through sheer will power against the odds.

Bang on, it's a beautiful movie, one of my favs in my teens, slow in places but heartwarming.

Gattaca 2.5???

I'd love to but I dont trust his Xmas hammies. Great when on the pitch and surely starts boxing day so GL!

Be lovely to be wrong of course and see Pep let hand break off but no signs so far of that. KDB surely comes back in this week so its duel 10 again if lucky, wing or bench otherwise.

I don't tbh and it's nothing form related as we don't do that here. More just he's started one game with KDB in the centre and that was vs United and the performance by the team was pretty dam bad. With how fearful Pep continues to be of transitions I just wouldn't be super confident on mins or role

Got a knock. Been slightly off form in general lately too, but it'll change. Guys a boss.

It's reset to whatever the scenario is at each deadline. So yes if results in gw1 move them table positions then the bonus would change accordingly for gw2/3

Was the easiest one of the ssn tbf! Pep prefers Walker to the kids 🙄 bsky.app/profile/dis-...

So would we all, but who else. Would have have to be Pusey CB. Over Walker and Lewis invert from RB

Not for me bud but if u see the value and ur confident then go ahead.

Yeah very suprised at that, must be saved for Juv. Could prove an error from Pep. Apologies. Those were 2 I was actually very confident on.

I'd probably go Doku given the choice
comment in response to post
Yes imo

He's a good pick yeah, he's not going to play EVERY single game but he will play the vast majority and some as a winger/midfield in possession.

I'm not rising to that. U bell.

Dunno yet, kinda like Palmer but for relative risk maybe. However I did that this week Haaland over Palmer depsite preferring Palmer and it also backfired, luckily only marginally

I think the scene where I crawl through 2 miles of shit would be more apt

For what its worth Gvardiol steps into attacking positions from settled possession even from LCB sometimes, depending on the low block situation.
comment in response to post
They wouldn't, I think you misread that bit or I wasn't clear. Lewis is doing the Gvardiol roam in this set up. If Akanji plays over Lewis then one of Gvardiol or Akanji would go mid, most likely Gvardiol on recent trend. I was just saying Akanji can be RCB for Walker, like v Forest.
comment in response to post
No but from experience he rarely rushes anyone see KDB until his start ie. However recently given the form he called out several injured who then played the next game (Walker/stones come back) & started Ake this week despite the risk. So that's why I'm slightly reserved. Desperate times & all that
comment in response to post
I don't know but seems given the start to the season its likely something in personal life, he does have three children so anyone with kids knows how much drama that can bring, hopefully he's ok and I don't wish to speculate.

For what its worth I think given how well it went vs Forest I think he would prefer Akanji to play and Gvardiol to roam (dropping Lewis) but ill perhaps naïvely side with what Pep USUALLY does when it comes to injury & he be cautious. Dias, Gvardiol, Haaland, Doku, Grealish look nailed.

However Silva probably does need a rest and seems very likely to play vs Juventus so ill punt on Savio over Silva here but its like 51/49. Silva could yet play for pivot over old man Gundogan who is having to play far more often than is ideal.
comment in response to post
This leaves us with the RW spot and Silva/Savio seems a coin toss. Silva helps by dropping back into midfield for build up, so works better as a whole given how vulnerable they are here. Particularly if he's forced to use Lewis in midfield areas over Gvardiol.

KDB may rest for Juventus but Pep said they "don't have many players" when the journo asked about managing him which to me suggests he feels somewhat forced to risk him - particularly as Foden would be the likely replacement & he's out. If they don't gamble on his fitness then Nunes/Silva can play.
comment in response to post
As for the midfield I would pretty confident on Doku LW who was great again and Jack taking up the 8 role. I see no reason to change that and both are fresh. Foden is also out which makes this easier. It's only really Nunes who can spoil that for either.

Is almost certain to be Lewis (LB into midfield) - then Gvardiol Dias Walker back 3. If Akanji is fit/risked then we could see him come in for Walker or more likely for Lewis - resulting in Gvardiol doing the roaming instead that worked so well vs Forest.
comment in response to post
At the back City are now limited in options thanks to losing Ake (I did say playing him 3 games in 9 days was a risk Pep!!!) and potentially losing Akanji, however with Pep not fully ruling Akanji out it annoyingly does cast some doubt on the set up. If we assume he wont be risked then the back four

I expected Ederson to come back in last week and he didn't, I guess we go with the flow then and pick Ortega, he made some good saves vs Forest but for how long this switch will last is anyone's guess, particularly when Pep himself says Ederson is still number 1 🤷‍♂️

Yes sir.
