I recall back in summer 2020 newspapers reporting how the Trump administration was deliberately withholding, delaying, or appropriating COVID aid and supplies from blue states/cities. He has wilfully punished populations before when he feels affronted by their lack of votes. He'll do it again.

Who knows if this is actually ICE or just some wannabe Meal Team Six cosplayers trying to abduct women? W the masks and unmarked vehicles, they could be anyone. At some point, there's gonna be an armed confrontation -- and maybe that's the point.

If it was true that these guys are just typical local cops with typical local cop beliefs, why, that would mean… oh no

Continually depressing to me how there is no policy area where you don't have to keep litigating the same shit. Essentially every old wealthy country has tried both approaches and we KNOW that having a curriculum that focuses on knowledge, not 'the skills of the future' works better.

France doesn’t riot because the police are weaker. it riots because the people are less ideologically pacified. in France, they’ll burn down a police station because Macron raised the retirement age by 2 years. in the US, you’re lucky if your coworkers won’t snitch on you for organizing a union.

I know many of the comments are asking about the owner. The owner responded that many of the detained employees were not undocumented immigrants, but students here on visas. Again pointing out that this isn’t even about citizenship status or corrupt employers hiring undocumented workers.

If Badenoch sincerely thinks that sentence is too high, then the problem is not any individual case but a systemic problem, with ever-inflating sentences from MPs, CPS charging practices after disorder (and disruption), and the pressure of defendants to plead guilty to avoid even greater sentences.

What is prohibited is various things "for the purpose of atmospheric experiments or interventions." So there needs to be some finding of the experiment. They are not going to find that in any "chemtrail." So near as I can tell, this bill does nothing, except perhaps prohibit actual science?

I don’t normally bother moaning about this sort of stuff but this man is an academic, apparently, who would rather believe that a fellow academic is a rampant misandrist than that she is accurately reporting something that happened

Among those who have received funding from American anti-abortionists is Tory peer Toby Young’s Free Speech Union (FSU), which took $97,930 from a charity run by US anti-abortion lawyer Zachary Kester
Kester is general counsel to US campus anti abortion group Students for Life

This week Nigel Farage branded proposed UK abortion reforms “utterly ludicrous”
Meanwhile JD Vance and Trumpists have denounced the UK and Scottish governments for restricting protests outside abortion clinics.
