Give yourself the gift of turning off social media and letting your mind just be today. Put down your phone. Walk away from your computer. Your attention is your own.

So, if veterans, the elderly, students, teachers, scientists, federal employees, park rangers, medical professionals, farmers, manufacturers, children, universities, and our foreign allies are all being negatively impacted by the current administration, who is this actually benefitting?

Remember to take a break from the firehose if doom. Social media is brokered in gloom and the currency is your attention. There’s a bright world happening beyond the reach of your phone. The quiet space in your head belongs to you.

Food nerd post of the day: Trying my hand at French cooking tonight. This lentil salad with a burgundy style vinaigrette and lardon pairs super amazingly with a Ken Wright 2022 Pinot.

Some positive news for your feed! I'm going to be DJing at Pearl & Stone Winery in North Bend on March 28. Two whole hours of eclectic and wonderful underground tunes for ears while you sip on delicious wine. What could be better? Nothing, that's what. (Not actually true, but close enough).

"An economic analysis... estimates proposed cuts could lead to a loss of $6.1 billion in the nation's gross domestic product, a $4.6 billion reduction in labor income and result in the loss of more than 46,000 jobs nationwide."

I was just thinking, how can we keep track of all the many suits against Trump? Lo and behold, the NYT has put together this handy tracker. Sure, yes, it's behind a paywall, so let me also take this moment to recommend getting a subscription to the NYT 👍

I had such a lovely time DJing at Pearl and Stone Wine for Real Twin Peaks Weekend! It was a good reminder that creativity and community is everything, especially right now. Focus on the doughnut, not the hole 🦉

For those keeping track, the temporary restraining order on NIH funding cuts has been extended.

On a very positive note, I am super excited to share that I'm going to be DJing a set of David Lynch inspired tunes at Pearl and Stone Wine Co. for Real Twin Peaks Weekend! I'll be there from 1 - 4 pm on Saturday Feb 22. Stop on by and say howdy if you're in North Bend! ❤️

Spotted at Pearl and Stone Winery in North Bend! I'm very excited to get to play a set of David Lynch-y tunes in celebration of Real Twin Peaks weekend! I'll be there from 1-4pm tomorrow, playing tunes from the black lodge and the white lodge and all the wonderful and strange places in between 🦉
