After Donkey Kong Country 2 cemented me as a lifelong fanatic, the first half of 1996 crawled by with no announcements. Imagine that. Six whole months not knowing when the next Donkey Kong game would be coming out! But somehow, I knew Rare would finish the SNES "trilogy" before doing an N64 DK game.
