As a passionate educator, I agree with the concern being expressed here. Having recently undertaken some further study myself, the resulting experience for the learner is appalling (and ineffective). Something about education delivery was broken during COVID and now with AI it's getting worse.

On purpose, not on purpose - Is this the right room for an argument?

Can anyone put a figure on the value of tourism to the USA? I imagine it's significant. It's going to take a while to recover and that's not going to start for the foreseeable future. Workers paying the price - sigh - again

Definitely try music, doesn't really matter what - it shifts things somehow (and getting outside, taking a moment...) πŸ’–πŸŽΆ

Amazing artworks and also smart move by the teacher to help the students process and try to deal with what's going on πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Is there a shocked and laughing emoji? and why are all the possible responses in my head to this voiced by Wanda Sykes??? (I love her takes on Trump)

Around the time Hugo was released, a documentary was also released about Georges MΓ©liΓ¨s, seeing the 2 around the same time was a delight (neither silent and I'm sure you're already well aware, just such a happy learning moment) magic πŸ’–

Oh ok. I was seeing a fair bit of that but on the back of the news coverage, reposts, replies etc.

I do find news orgs are not as "24hours" as they used to be. Seems more obvious when they're on night shift

There's a blue sky starter pack somewhere about news sites to follow (sorry, I'm not great at these things). I follow Reuters, AP, Guardian (UK and Aus), SBS, ABC. It really did unfold as you might expect - with a final collective gasp when it emerged that a medical school was hit. Awful.

Not true. I'm in the same city, possibly just up later than you - it was a steady stream last night

I dunno, this episode of The Office isn't as funny as it usually is. She does sound a bit David Brent-ish though. Sigh

πŸ€£πŸ‘ We need more Margaret on the telly. Hey, perhaps a review of the week's events on the last 7:30 of the week? 🀷

Doesn't it - a medical school! 😰

"chipped"??? Really ABC?? Leaving us with no subs is chipped? I want some serious critique of this issue so to the ex-commercial radio now abc management/editorial - step up!!!

They don't care about the service. This is a KPI tracking and levelling automation. We're emotionally blackmailed to say it was better than it was so that the poor, under trained, under resourced, underpaid rep isnt treated badly. Corporate trick-shittery and absolutely stoopid echo-chamber.

Brilliant (mind you girls, I still don't want to be sitting behind big hair 🀣🀣🀣)

Good job lads! Hey, can you get our kangaroos and koalas back? Oh and Robert Irwin might need rescuing, I hear he's currently doing Dancing With The Stars Cheers

I'd argue it takes a lot longer than that or rather it should - am experiencing some appalling TAFE atm and gross inefficiencies for learners. Now quitting for mental health reasons.
