It was this that I was half-remembering but I may have mischaracterised it. Now that we know Stasis is about consciousness imposing control maybe it's just the coercive-symbiotic nature of the worm-bond that limits a Hive's capacity to exert their individual will?

I've always been ok with the weekly stories anyway but the week to week for Act 1 has really felt like the best of the seasonal model - reveals & story beats paced really well, locations and actions for the missions thematically on point etc. I can't wait to see where the Oryx-echo story goes next!

Getting to reuse the Shadowkeep Skolas model seems a likely factor for bringing him back for sure - in an ideal world i guess there wouldn't be these factors to work around. I wonder if it'll be another 6 years again for the next Scorn plotline 😅

Fikrul kicked my ass in the Hollowed Lair GM so on one hand good riddance but on the other I get what you mean. He was definitely a loose end after Forsaken that was kicked down the road. That said Skolas's speech from GF: Fallen 3 is so good I don't mind him coming back as a new Scorn Kell.

The VoG weapons refresh was a nice surprise - its a good raid for new players who are just starting out but I would always have to say there wasn't much worth keeping. Excited to see what has happened to the Dreadnaught!

loved about that is it was MY reaction to it. I felt no need to justify it. No need to break it down forensically or dissect for validation from authorial intent. I didn't need to have the "correct" interpretation.
