exactly, we have to learn from how misunderstood and broken the term 'intelligence' has been by this entire movement

'We didn't kill them, thank us and stop crying for us to stop starving an entire people to death.' A boat full of supplies for people being starved, including baby formula, gone to waste. The gleeful cruelty of it all, with the world complicit.

uterus transplants are. objectively. cool as hell. and trying to oppose them is the kind of science denial in line with the christofascist project

The bravery of the people on board this boat is matched only by the cowardice of our governments.

"Rise, like lions after slumber In unvanquishable number! Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you: Ye are many—they are few!" Shelley, from a poem written after the Peterloo Massacre

This absolute icon at Canterbury Pride 🩷🤍🩵

An extremely cursory examination of the scholarship on deplatforming shows that it works. I can't stop you from publishing on substack, but I am disappointed in you if you do. And I will personally never pay a penny to any substack.

defenders of women’s sport thinking that *Simone Biles* is an inferior athlete compared to all male gymnasts is so incredibly telling

Like only they can do, Labour and Starmer have made an already bad situation a lot worse 👏🏼

Keir Starmer could've taken Thames Water back into public hands months ago. Now he's being blackmailed by the only remaining bidder willing to rescue the utility before it runs out of cash at the end of the month. Their terms: don't prosecute our crimes.

For many decades in mainstream journalism, gay people and lesbians were seen as a "them"--a problem (societal, cultural, moral, municipal, religious) that needed to be solved by an "us" (straight people and publications) I don't mean hateful press--this was the approach of SYMPATHETIC publications.>

Hey as their "creator" if I say they're a couple, are they canonically a couple? Do I have this power? 🤔 #powershipping

every podcast that Steven Pinker appears on has a link to scientific racism

Seems v obvious to me that second-wave feminist texts that refer to women writers as "daughters" of Wollstonecraft have been LLMunched. It's not a hallucination or spooky, it's evidence a) of the persistence of familial lang in 2nd wave; b) LLM can't understand metaphors.

Mary-Ann Stephenson worked with numerous trans-inclusive organisations, including Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre as well as Coventry Women's Voices. The inclusive track record is *of* these organisations, not Stephenson. She moderated herself to work with others. I fear her being in charge.

Big up Zack Polanski

First time I’ve actually seen the trans symbol denote space segregation and it feels fucking bad chat

Also on that Ideal But Unlikely Panel roster, @wtalabi.bsky.social, @tkingfisher.com, Lois McMaster Bujold, and @megintransition.bsky.social on a gods and religion in fantasy panel.

I've now finished Isabella Nagg and the Pot of Basil and the @tkingfisher.com comparison is only stronger, but also to a broader selection of her work; @deathbybadger.bsky.social and T. Kingfisher together is now on my "unlikely panels I'd love to happen" roster

Jesus christ

There's only a few hours left to bid on the Genre Creators for Trans Rights auction. There's some really, really cool things being offered. Seriously. www.32auctions.com/genrefortran... (1/3)

your inability to hold hate in your heart for more than one person at a time is a skill issue and you should work on it instead of being proud like this

Umm. Not so fast, Akua. We've issued proceedings today.

"It's not biology, you are just a dick." Taken at Exeter Pride

Have known Gov. Walz from before he came onto the national radar. He is a mensch, and the real deal.

Good short thread on why the EHRC guidance is legally bogus

The Guardian story does not mention that the EHRC's Akua Reindorf has previously advised and represented Sex Matters and been instructed by LGB Alliance. Seems relevant.

If the law never permitted self-id, are my passport and driving licence illegal? Is that what they're saying? Because I don't have a GRC.

A reminder: Akua Reindorf was hired to the EHRC *SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE* she authored a bigot report (the reindorf review).

Or "get cool bookish things", like @aeriefaerie.bsky.social's amazing knitted tribute to sapphic space necromancers and their sword bodyguards... www.32auctions.com/organization...

I'm so tired. As if this prick, who voted against my right to (one day, hopefully) have a relationship recognised as equal to a straight couple's, is suddenly pretending to care about homophobia. Just utterly monstrous behaviour by this evil party once again. Sickening.

Anyway this seems to be the moment to remind everyone the ehrc lost their attempt to make protesting their london hq illegal

if you click through to this article they have changed "reduced rights" to read "perceived reduced rights". They take away our rights then pretend its all in our minds.
