#books #wonder #curiosity #kindness #nature #joy You are not alone. Reader, poet, editor, novelist, citizen. Dogged by dogs—how can I feel pointless? Or forget the ancient goldfish aswim in my kitchen, saying O, O, O when it sees me, god of clean water.

"already measur ing her self-worth by how well she performs for others........ had I taught her that?" ✅❤️

You're so right. ✅ Random words make for surprises, don't they. They shake intention loose. Good things! ❤️ I've been poem-hunting with the 7 words assignment... actually landed a couple decent seed poems, recently... this week, flash, so went with it.

Just what I needed too, if only your picture. Thanks for including me.

Galloping off into Saturday. Will be back later to read your goodies.

Wow, really??? The natural world is an infinite treasure and wonder. How can we not be taking care with our footprint in it? ( I do try, but I'm not innocent.) Thank you for this one. Marvelous.

I keep thinking of your post this morning, wanting to say... make something up, even just for today. I ❤️ prompts because they take us unexpected places and that is, well, the secret sauce. 🙃 It's WIP after all. We can do anything, really. On the other hand, no vibe is no vibe, & that's fair too. 🤗

And Babe. 🙃

I hear you. But maybe try to forgive them... It's desperation to be noticed, seen, and what they're promoting means everything to them. Our future selves might be guilty of the same...Them's my thoughts, this morning, at any rate.

We love them so much. There's something ineffable about these relationships. Words can't say it—one only comes up with stupid cliches. I'm glad to read he's rallied for another day.

Yum! This one, so evocative. You can feel it, hear it, smell it, sitting in the rain on a bright gray day in a light rain. Love it.

Wonderful! "Hey, this is a very manly shade of blue," The cotton candy ice cream comes turquoise with pink crystals of actual cotton candy. Add on the whipped cream, the chocolate sauce, and the rainbow sprinkles on top, and I might not even get to the ice cream part. Well, I can hope. Ha! 🙃

PS. (Money where my mouth is) Just pre-ordered Roma!

I hope I can keep track of you in the great wash of everything! I want to hear more of what's attracting your curiosity. Onward, the both of us, into Bluesky.

And a poetic reply! 🙏

🙃 I agree about sneak peaks and WIP. Even for folks who are talking about books they love. The cover doesn't do it. The opening, a few compelling lines, something about what's in it please!

We're about the same age on Bluesky. Loving it here--looks like you're thriving too. Pleased to meet you!

Loving all your posts... don't always comment, but love your curiosity, your wonder, your reach. I appreciate you. In this one, how dinosaur, how positively prehistoric! 😎

Amen to this one! ⭐️

Damned if I know. Since Gabriel didn't do it, I didn't have to figure it out....

I'd meant to post this over on #WIPSnips. Check it out. Fun page. I'll let this live here for a little while.

Good morning WIPSnippers! This is from "An Inconsiderate Wind," a #novel about a boy #lost among northwestern #islands in 1961. John Martinue is a #parrot.

Just a stranger on Bluesky. Great cover! Great title! Great topic. The Roma book looks intriguing too. Pleased to meet you!

Couldn't have been enough. The legacy media is really falling flat on its face. When 10+ million people hit the streets, all at once, across the nation, small towns and big cities, seems like that should be a STORY.

I don't think the two of us are going to figure this out. Something's very, very, very, very wrong. We're like two ants on our anthills who can't see the bulldozer. It hurts. Everyday. Something like 10M of us tried to say so last weekend. Meanwhile, this decades-old poem says it all.

oh man. THANK YOU! I needed that. We all do, don't we. ❤️

To be an American right now is to be grieving, crying, furious, part of every day... or you're not paying attention... or you're swallowing lies by the bucket.

75 M of us didn't. We don't understand either. Propaganda is part of it. Those who listen to Fox and their own media bubbles never hear what the rest of us do. It's carefully curated. Much is left out or badly skewed. Even so, all you have to do is listen to his texts & words from his mouth.

Thanks for answering. I'm was born in LA, met my husband there, and we both ache to go back sometimes. We can't afford to live there though. Long time now in rural MA. There's beauty everywhere, really, if you look. I hear you about the missing, and look forward to following you.

Gosh! The soft peachy-orange and green-blue sky, the haze. It looks like a Japanese woodblock print! Gorgeous. Much talk of missing/ leaving on your feed. Where to where? Vaguely, if you must. Inquiring minds want to know. 🙃 Regardless, thanks for the beautiful shot.
