Exactly. It's kind of ridiculous that so many would rather parse out how many black or Hispanic people turned out for Trump when, if enough of us (white people) voted for common sense on the left, the left would win by untouchable margins.

I thin there's kind a bit of poetry in gate-keeping fandomers: your ruling over a 1ft space in a desert, but BY GOD ITS WITH AN IRONFIST

Regardless, I'm eager to read whatever article comes out on how Coogler references other horror media--Night of the living dead, the whole Southern vampires genre, and From (I'm fascinated how well-dressed, clean white folk showing up late at night is STRANGELY scary...) #sinners

So what is it? Just Irish Vampires get Irish music? That particular music WAS twee, and ergo, I'M twee? A criticism of white empathy for oppressed Irish people, and apathy for non-white oppression? Maybe some solidarity between oppressed peoples? A Wicker Man reference to underscore that

The specific thing I'm going back and forth about (SPOILER) is, Is the Irish music in it a twee representation of watered-down, insipid music digest for white people, as one critic said? Cause, I* liked that part, and, I'd say, in weak defense, that they recruited actual Irish musicians for it.

commentary on how white people use economic privilege to exploit black culture, but also a stark contrast that even vampires are kinder than your average white racist.
