Now I just need a Victorian gentleman’s study to hang it in.

You have no idea how happy it makes me to have all my inkvents in order. The paper I bought on impulse a decade ago in a stationary shop that has since shut. It looks so good in this.

Yes. We have them on the river. Pretty and less antisocial than their Canadian cousins.

I was so excited to be able to hand down The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch from my childhood. Hits a little different in 2025. 🫣

It may depend on the country. In the UK, schools still very much teach cursive as the main form of handwriting.

Just look at the change in colour.

Last one! #Inkvent Day 25 - Good Tidings! A glossy glorious purple black ink with green sheen. A victorian gent. The (post-visitation) Scrooge to Day 8’s Marley. Love the range of colours in this one. A great ink to end the calendar with. Merry Christmas Everyone.x

#Inkvent Day 24 - Salted Caramel another brown with Shimmer, but a softer, more golden colour than Nutmeg. Nice tones.

The AoC decided to raise the stakes on my most detailed sketch to date by making several high energy attempts to poison themselves with the ink water as I worked. Little Bastards.

#Inkvent Day 23- Pine Needle. A green chameleon with shimmer. Really beautiful shade of green. Could leave the shimmer.

#Inkvent Day 22- Nutmeg.
Brown with a gold shimmer. Interesting shades and a nice shimmer, albeit resisting my attempts to photograph it.

#Inkvent Day 21 - Cosmic Glow
A dark blue with extreme purple sheen. Great range of shading. A sibling to Vibe. Love it.

#inkvent Day 20- Pot Pourri
A standard greyish purple that was difficult to draw with. Some interesting tones, but nothing special.

#Inkvent Day 19- Fruit Cocktail
Scented- Luminous orange smells like Tropical Fanta and flows like it. Fun to use. This ink is Juicy.

#Inkvent Day 18 - Vibe.
And we have a winner. A an extreme sheen peacock blue with a strong purple pink shimmer that is easy to see but harder to photograph. This is sketch is one ink. An absolute vibe.

I’ve been scrolling glass fronted bread bins, but they are quite pricey, I haven’t settled on one yet so will look at racks too

#Inkvent Day 17- Winterberry.
Now this is a Red! again with shimmer, (bit of a theme this year). Todays is pink. Not seeing much range for a Chameleon, but it looks incredible in the bottle. A very red red, so I drew the very reddest bird in Nature.

Take a look at Dingbats. All my Inkvent swatches are on their dotted paper. Thick, smooth, with no feather or bleed through. Really lovely and practical books.

Inkvent Day 16 - Tundra. Dark grey with brown and blue tones. Loved playing with the shading on this one.

#Invent Day 15 - Sleigh Ride a dark red with green extreme sheen. This feels like a darker Grotto, oddly repetitive. Was hoping for a primary red considering the title. Hence the Santa guiding glowing nose.

#Inkvent Day 14- Mint Twist a pine green chameleon with glitter. Not getting the undertones that others are. Handles well enough on the pen for a bush of wild mint and a glass of mint tea.

The Agents of Chaos report that it also dries very quickly. Foiling their plans to tag every surface with Lullaby-coloured toe beans. The shameless little bastards.

#inkvent day 13 - Lullaby. A standard dark pink. Quite thin and tricky to draw with, but it was happy to be smeared into a chrysanthemum.

Hmm, okay. Went back and checked. With a strong white light the shimmer does show up well on the text, but very little on the sketch. Took these with a head torch!

#inkvent day 12- Snow Globe. Another chameleon bright blue with purple and turquoise tones. There is blue glitter too, but it’s really hard to make out but you can just see it in the close up.

It came out far more orange on my first try, a proportionally improbable cristingle, mercifully ruined by Chaos Agent sabotage.

#inkvent Day 11 - Grotto. An interesting dark orange but it’s more pink on dilution than I expected. The Persimmon looks more like a cranberry. Not much sheen on this paper either.

I mean, just an insane amount of shimmer.

#inkvent Day 10 - Chilly Night - star bright. A deep dark blue with an insane level of shimmer. Very smooth to write with. Another strong showing.

#inkvent Day 9 - Wishing Tree. Another banger. Deep dark green with a lovely range of tones, and a glittery sheen. Though the green glitter doesn’t show up in the pictures

Not for a long time, but the motherland remains an indelible thumbprint on the soul. ☺️
