Today in Black History: On Feb. 22, 1911, activist and social reformer Frances Ellis Watkins Harper died. She was the first Black American woman to publish a short story. She was an influential abolitionist, suffragist and reformer who co-founded the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs.

Woke up with this in my head today. I'm hoping it means the tide is turning. Today, I will focus on joy! youtu.be/bEeaS6fuUoA?...

So many butterflies on here need to be reminded of this:

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.” ― Lyndon B. Johnson I don't like "lowest" and "best" in this quote, but I do get his point.

We know this, but it needs to be said. Sinclair Lewis said, "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

I’m telling everyone: Do not open the door or say a word unless you’re expecting someone and know exactly who it is. Know your rights. Pass these around…

There's also this, from Heather Cox Richardson: "Between 1981 and 2021, deregulation, tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations, the offshoring of manufacturing, and the weakening of unions moved $50 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%." More: www.nber.org/system/files...
