Like a fiendish tropic virus spitting bile at all you whores
Razor-sharp, tongue-in-cheek, poking in your open sores

Wrapped up as a gift from god, exploding in your face

I’m sure they’ve been told to conveniently avoid those places by their higher-ups

The fact that so many are overlooking the fact that Rick Moranis is coming out of retirement to do this film is wild.
The fact that he’s doing it speaks volumes about Mel Brooks. Absolute legend.

I’m so excited about this. If this turns out to be an elaborate joke, there’s gonna be a LOT of pissed-off fans.

Under article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, service members are obligated to disobey an unlawful order - whether it comes from an officer appointed over them or the president himself. Following an unlawful order can still result in disciplinary action, including court martial.

Part of the problem is the fact that Title 10 orders in this scenario are in violation of the 10th amendment

You’d think as much as the NRA loves to talk about stockpiling arms to “defend against tyranny” they would’ve said something about this whole situation.
SURELY they couldn’t be full of BS with that argument, right?

Any troops that take action are not protected under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, since any orders from the President in this case would be unconstitutional.

He’s in violation of the 10th amendment, since the National Guard is under state control unless authorized for federal activation under Title 10. The only way that could happen with the current situation is to invoke the Insurrection Act; which he has not done.

All the more reason to pick up a few, especially since you can get multipacks pretty cheap. It’s a pretty solid investment, not terribly pricy, and the potential for hilarity is high

I’ll have to go through the archives and see if I can find it.
If there’s anything more terrifying than religious zealots, it’s religious zealots with money and influence.

Look into an organization called Ziklag - an ultra-wealthy, fundamentalist evangelical group with ties to DC. I know it sounds like some tinfoil hat-wearing, Qanon-adjacent BS; but these people are dangerous and powerful. They’re behind the strong anti-trans and antisemitic sentiment on the right.

It does say “without the consent of the Congress,” so they can technically vote to okay it.
