The thing is, it is extremely *easy* to be normal to trans people. It takes zero effort. Being normal is the easy, lazy option. You have to actually expend effort and go out of your way to not be normal to trans people. It actively requires effort.

Australia, we're essentially Israel with an extra 150 years from the beginning of our genocide. We've erased more evidence and cultivated a more successful forgetting, but that's what power does with time. 'Israel wouldn't bomb a hospital' etc is simply history being re-written in the moment.

I’m not going to retweet that NOAA propaganda post about deep sea mining. Instead, I’ll tell you that I don’t know a single NOAA scientist who would promote deep sea mining in this way, because the available science we have does not justify exploitation of deep sea habitats for minerals.

Postscript: the image was overexposed and I can’t fix it in post. Will need to repeat that. I am seriously considering picking up the pencil again. i used to be able to do decent scientific drawings. I still refer to Chuck Messing’s drawings of basic crinoid structure all the damn time.

Hello, I have spent the day trying to coax tiny pieces of feather star into the perfect position for an ancient microscope camera system to take 30-60 shots at slightly altered focal planes and merge them into a composite, and I now long for the sweet release of death.
