Understandably people have concerns about AI, but used responsibly it can be genuinely useful — for example, answering some of the perplexing questions you've been mulling over for years

AI (in a good way) is excellent at dealing with questions such as this.

Superstorm Sandy. Hurricane Harvey. Katrina. The Canadian wildfires. The many and increasing "rain bomb" events all over the planet, with disastrous flash flooding. Lahaina. The Palisades. California floods and droughts. 2024 warmest on record. Past 10 years ALL in top 10. #ClimateChange

Amplified by positive feedbacks, thermal runaway is occurring in The Arctic. But few people care & global politics makes meaningful action essentially impossible. This article (which no-one will read) is by Patrick Hogan, NASA Earth Scientist Emeritus #Climatechange www.facingfuture.earth/arctic/

The view this morning (Monday 6th) from the #Portree #Passivhaus roof camera. Brrrrr... Inside the largely unheated house it's currently 19.6 degrees. Just about warm enough, but the sun forecast for later should heat us up a bit.....

The psychological challenge of climate change - our brains are hard-wired to respond to immediate threats, not a slow-motion disaster happening at a global scale (and that's not even considering the tsunami of misinformation hitting us every day).
