Came for the politics. Stayed for the juice.
People, PLEASE vet who you follow. I block MAGA (the “rational/objective” types as well as the blatant ones) but I also block their followers, no matter how much ReSiSt stuff said followers have in their bio.

A large part of who should be in group 2 don’t want the Fourth Reich or Confederacy 2.0, but are (consciously or not) racist enough not to want to POC competing with them for opportunities on an equal playing field.

It’s a pity how so many people seem to think institutional knowledge is either not real, or is just a sentimental relic of the past. Or, they sort of think it’s nice in theory, but don’t have a good frame of reference due to working so many revolving-door-type jobs.

The normal-ish J6ers who got caught up in the excitement probably won’t make the same mistake twice. The dangerous ones are stupid enough to get arrested again, or worse.

They may be right-leaning, but they’re not the National Enquirer, either. In any event, NYT has reported on it as well.

Well, that and a lack of professionalism.

I was skeptical too, was cautiously sure of the info because OP works for Politico, and then found this:

If even half of them did, that’s a good sign. Unrepentant dead-ender MAGATs are real—but so are the pissed-off Trump voters in this video.

Because rulings on Monday would allow the non-right-wing among us to potentially enjoy their weekends.

Very few (if any) people who are truly desperate to come to the US are from countries on that list.

Even before all this, it made a lot of sense for Democrats to drop their mail-in ballots off at post offices in the reddest or richest zip codes nearby.
