its terrifying isn't it? to have to just sit back and watch everything unfold before your eyes? i can sympathize

the more we value things outside our control, the less control we have

i wish you only the best in life, truly.

that condition sounds like a blessing and a curse. like the opposite side to a metaphorical coin that is a person's ability to remember. is this something you live with?
comment in response to post
no offense taken, promise. it's something i'm well aware of personally, and trying to rectify before it seemingly becomes an issue. it is concerning to observe too though, I know what you mean. reading and meditating more frequently helps.

wow, apparently it's been too long since i've read it. thought it sounded familiar. thank you

this was a fascinating read. what is it from?
comment in response to post
it was very obviously implied by the comment I responded to, but ok.

why does a child's sense of self have to solely be tied to their gender? can't a sense of self be associated with interests or feelings instead?

ok fine, i give. tell me then, what is your solution. what do we do about all of the transgender degenerates wreaking havoc on your life each and every single day. because you can't just wish them away.
comment in response to post
more for me does not equal less for you. im going to bed. this is going nowhere, and im obviously not going to be the one to change your mind. just please, act out of kindness first and always, even when you don't fully understand what someone else is going through.

i never demanded respect, and i agree with you that it is earned, not given. my point was that people tend to undermine transgender individuals just for being who they are, before they even have the opportunity to speak on their own behalf. do you disagree?
comment in response to post
its weird because I don't think being transgender is a privilege at all. what gives you the impression that it is? i could say the same thing for you. i'd say I'm doing just fine personally though, thanks.
comment in response to post
what would you define as "more" does my identity change the validity of my arguments? why does it matter?
comment in response to post
if the most notable thing about a transgender person to you is the fact that they are just people "taking hormones & getting surgeries", then we might just have a fundamental disagreement here. it is horrible what we are subjected to from other people when the vast majority of us just want to exist
comment in response to post
im not disagreeing with you, but i dont think the us military should be the final say for transgender rights in america. the military should be allowed to refuse whoever they want, just like everyone should be able to refuse the military if they so choose. that doesn't mean they deserve less respect

who?

legit can't tell if this is supposed to be an insult

my apologies, you have a good night as well

regardless, without getting further into the weeds, im not sure if that even warrants argument. i don't think people with autism, or bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, or so on, deserve less rights or freedoms than other people. so why should it be any different for transgender individuals?
comment in response to post
i suppose that's fair. im judt not sure if I totally believe that it is a mental illness per se, but rather the mental illness being gender dysphoria itself which is brought about by the fact that the gender does not line up with the sex. which, again, closely related but not equal

hypothetically, if a document existed somewhere in the world that had instated on it all of your worst fears, abolishing religion, higher taxes, etc, etc, would you not be concerned? even just a little bit? i believe the writing is on the wall, but confirmation bias can be a tricky thing to avoid
comment in response to post
im sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis. that can't have been easy as he was growing up. can you define mental illness for me? i don't believe that being trans is a mental disorder. correlation does not equal causation
comment in response to post
sweet, thanks. you did structure this discussion to be impossible to argue against by the way. obviously nobody can predict the future and say definitively that he will instate project 2025. just like you can't predict the future and say definitively that he will not instate it

ok, fine, but you still haven't responded to the comment?

fine, I'll bite. trans individuals deserve the same rights as everyone else, full stop. i do not believe that the new administration has our best interests in mind

hahahahaha there is NO SHOT you actually removed the bullshit "If you want to discuss things, don't be a jerk" quote from your bio when I called you out on it you are a hypocrite

hey because you seem uneducated in this matter I'm just gonna do the research for you. here is an image from merriam-webster. in case you've never heard of them they make something called a dictionary. they are pretty good for finding the definition for words you don't know the meaning to
comment in response to post
in what way has a trans woman ever taken over "your space". like provide an example or two. you seem to just be regurgitating common talking points that are pretty easily disproven when you do any actual research or talk to literally any trans person
