So we can get my son to testify to this, but when Devers came up for the third time today, I said to him, “Well, Devers has already hit into two double plays. Now there is nobody on, so I think he’s going to hit a home run.” And he hit a home run. 😁

Yes. He could have said “There’s NFW I’m playing first base - I’m a DH” but he didn’t.

Was at today’s game with my son and mentioned how David Ortiz played first base when they needed him to play the field. We’ll miss his RBIs, but Next Man Up.

Saw his last game (and last homer) with the Sox today.

Auditioning to replace Maria Bartiromo when she retires? Probably got Stockholm Syndrome listening to Larry Kudlow’s total nonsense about the economy over the years.

5-12. That record is following him around.

They can get the (bad word) out of Massachusetts, thank you.

As Jack Buck said elsewhere, “I can’t believe what I just saw.”

I’m guessing George Soros must have a website or an app where you can register to be a “paid troublemaker,” yes? Are taxes withheld or do you have to figure that out on your own? Always wondered how these “radical leftist” protesters get paid.

An entertaining part of this is that Trump and Musk each think the other is a moron and they’re both right.

Curious that we have a national security concern that apparently only exists at one specific university. That is one hyper local national issue! 🙄

Do we know if the penguins from the Heard and McDonald Islands have offered a deal yet? I’m not sure of they could physically hold actual cards, even if they happened to have any.

100% agree. 😁

I cannot recommend this novel highly enough - it was a superb read. I’m not sure that I’ve read a more clever, funnier novel that is essentially about love and what we do for those we love the most. Mr. Leitch is at the top of his game here, and I’m confident we’ve not heard the last from him.

Hats off to @megancnbc.bsky.social for asking him about TACO to his face.

Pretty obviously a Radical Leftist Marxist judge. Not sure how the Federalist Society let this one slip past them.

DOJ should investigate everyone whose house number anywhere is 8647. 🙄

Maybe he found that at the beach in front of a house located at 8647 Seashore Drive. 😁

I thought it was impossible to learn a new position? Or maybe they just never pinky swore to Campbell that he’d always be a second baseman and/or outfielder…

So how many Trump golf resort deals does Qatar have to enter into with Trump family businesses for that to count as the “quo” part of quid pro quo? I guess for Mr. Lipton it’s more than one…

Honestly, every Presidential Library needs a luxury jumbo jet. How are they going to pick up the overdue library books otherwise?

How is this different than Story playing second before or Bregman being willing to play second? “We need you to play first.” “Um, you never said that in February, so no.” Crappy message to your teammates.
comment in response to post
My point is that if you want to help the team win, you play whenever you can. Casas wasn’t injured in Spring Training so there was no urgency for Devers to try first then. But there is now. You can either decide to help the team win or not. And I like Devers!

Wait - is it possible that the President’s Press Secretary lied?

This is why I love players like Brock Holt. He would play (bad word) anywhere to get the chance to play. Devers is a magician with the bat - still marveling at his homer at Yankee Stadium against Chapman. But his unwillingness to throw on a glove and give it a try says more about him than the Sox
