You’re welcome; I’m glad to hear you’re vigilant with your mammograms. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you. Take care.

I’ve been an RN for over 30 years, and have had breast cancer, as well as two other cancers, so I’m well aware of lots of statistics. You may find the article below interesting (or not). www.cedars-sinai.org/newsroom/stu...

I lost a grandmother and a sister to pancreatic cancer. Due to Lynch Syndrome, I (a woman) am at extremely high risk to develop it in the next few years. Why do you think this only helps white men?

Thank you so much; fosters were found as we were loading our vehicle to go get them! It was going to be an all night 11+ hour drive, but we were going to try…

I know you understand and I am so very sorry for your loss. I’ve been amazed at your strength sharing videos and photos of Rex over the holidays. I don’t know how you’ve been able to do it, but you’ve honored him well.

I’m not ready for another bully, but I could help out temporarily. The last one (our 6th bully) thoroughly broke my heart. And I thought losing #3, my soul dog, was bad. That’s why I’m a nurse, and not a veterinarian; I didn’t think I could stand losing animals all the time, and I was right.

I don’t think she’s talking about us; we were just loading crates into the SUV and loading up our coffee mugs when I thought I better check for updates. We’ve not heard from Glenna, so we’re thinking it must be someone else. We’ll unload the SUV tomorrow. Good night everyone. Nice to meet y’all.

Ha! I’ve not heard from Glenna. I don’t think she’s talking about us???

Well, I’ve emailed and left voicemail. I don’t know if we should just start driving, or what. I guess we can start gathering leads, collars, bowls, blankets and all of that stuff, pack some human supplies, and maybe Glenna will call by then.

Not to be morbid, but I even checked obits to see if he’d passed away (since he hadn’t posted in a while). Didn’t find him, but “Rusty” can be a nickname for more than just Russell. Could just be a red-head.

I tried that. Also voicemail.

Well, just tried to call Glenna and got voicemail. My husband and I can get to Oklahoma City in about 12 hours and be TEMPORARY fosters. We can board the dogs when I have to leave town. Anything to get them out of their current situation. Anybody got another # for Glenna?
comment in response to post
Right. I can go along to get along for the dogs’ sake.

No need to apologize; things are getting done in a hurry. I hope this Bedford guy doesn’t have a Bluesky account, because I don’t think we have a lot in common politically, lol. Good thing I kept my Twitter account locked down most of the time and on the straight and narrow!

Surely she’s thought of him? I’d call her, but I’m sure she’s already getting tons of calls and is stressed out.

Would someone else do Facebook? I don’t have an account there.
comment in response to post
Oh no. Well, won’t hurt to try.

Great. I’m going to send Rex’s original screenshot and tell them it’s from Glenna’s FB account.

I JUST found that account. Had to look up Bedford to see if it is in north Texas. Hoping this is it..

I still have my X account, I keep it for local news. I don’t mind running over there and contacting him with this info if you don’t mind giving me his contact information.

Yes, I saw. I had no idea there were that many BTs in rescues now.

Damn. Glenna would’ve been my recommendation as well. I’m too far away or I’d go; plus I’m leaving town soon for an extended time. Wish I had a solution, but I’ve been out of the bully world a bit too long. I know this is upsetting for Glenna; what a shame those beautiful dogs are in that situation.

Exactly. Anyone who works in healthcare can tell you what the problem is.

I’m so sorry to hear this Rex. I’m grateful that you’re comfortable and able to come home to be with your family soon. You and yours will be in my thoughts in the coming days.

Love See’s! Thanks for the excuse to place an order, as we had finally just run out of Halloween candy 🥴. Hope it helps!

You are incorrect.

As a nurse that’s had colon cancer, and is married to a guy with colitis, our stories would make you blush; but you had me laughing. Thank you for the story!
