Not exactly. This is a classic browser game that got a ton of traction because it's simple. You click the cookie, numbers go up, you use your currency to buy cookie production facilities, and the ADHD brain is satisfied. Though it's not "easy platinum" material. 400 achievements.

Why not "radon"

Yeah, this is really what game preservation is about. It doesn't matter if the game being preserved is one people personally don't care for - it's a piece of gaming history and it's being made playable in a modern format.

I've been kinda hyperfixating on it for a while. It's honestly the gold standard for what a crossover should be IMO

One of my favorite Vtubers is pretty chill and isn't afraid to call out weird right-wing stuff, but he's been taking a bit of a break recently

"Deck playable" is an understatement On modern Windows, you have to do a lot of fiddling around to get this game working well, meanwhile I just ran it on my Deck and it worked like a dream

A Minecraft Movie - Forgot to talk about this one. It's not a good movie. But by God, is it a fun one. And it's genuine - you can tell the people who made it are fans of the game. (They even hired on a redstone engineer to make some of the builds!) I genuinely liked it.

Rayman Legends - I don't think I gave my thoughts on this game when I played the Switch version, but the Steam version is a good excuse. Honestly, this is the gold standard for hardcore platformers. Smooth controls, fun level themes, and a pretty good soundtrack.

Portal RTX - ...It's Portal. But now it's shinier. Okay. Also, a lot more confusion during the escape sequence, since I couldn't tell that some surfaces could be portaled. Kind of a downgrade in that way tbh

Nah, Sonic's arms are usually also behind his back. This is more of a Mario World/Arale run

By the way, a moment of silence for the disc drive slot. At least I can still play Blu-Rays on my PS3, and if I ever get a craving to pop in my old CD games and play them in a VM, I can probably just buy an external drive.

The 2019 build used the same case at first, but I upgraded later to one that was entirely too small for a mini-ATX board. Used the old 1TB hard drive, as well as the same Wi-Fi card, though I stopped using it in 2024 in favor of a Steam Deck, since it had a better CPU.

To start, here was my first build back in late 2015! I forget which Core i3 this was using, but it, the motherboard, and the GPU were sourced from school friends. Also, I had very shitty cable management skills. The PSU died somewhere in 2017 while I was playing Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.

I was looking through my likes and saw the original post It's not uncommon for IRL theatre either, dress/stage rehearsals often take a lot longer than the actual show since you might have to run a scene multiple times to get it right. There's times when I've spent a whole day at a stage rehearsal.

Side note That GPU is from 2011 A Switch 1 is almost 3 times more powerful than it is

Those are just normal spray paint splotches! And red has more positive meanings than negative - it's basic color theory!

A lot of the localization whining was because... it was localized. People got mad because they thought there were messages being added, but those messages come through from implication if you're actually Japanese.

Or maybe I think being an asshole makes people less inclined to agree with you

You know, I was going to accept that he was probably just the PR guy and might not have gone further than that, but the moment someone took the time out of their day and cared enough to say "who cares," I immediately decided "no, I might have to double down on this"

To clear up some more misinfo, at a friend's suggestion: The new MicroSD cards aren't a proprietary thing - any device can use them, like USB 3.0. You can plug a USB 3.0 hard drive into a Win95 PC if you want, like how you can put a MicroSD Express card into a Steam Deck if you want.

It says that's how he started in the late 2000s (when they did normal things like not including malware DRM in their software), and he "got more involved later on." So he might have become an actual leader later on.

The reports all say he was one of the leaders. Do you have a source on the claim that he just updated the website?

Do I think Nintendo is greedy for overpricing the Switch 2? No. I think it's a case where they took the "Switch is underpowered" criticisms a bit too seriously, and pushed the hardware as far as they could. However, they overengineered the game cards, and now the issues are obvious.

Opinion Zone #2: I think the game prices make sense. However, I also think they're very overpriced. And yes, these statements can coexist.

Taking out all the data means that the cheapest possible cartridge can be made for these games. That's why Bravely Default is $40, because it's a game-key cartridge.
comment in response to post
To help support this point: "Game-key" cartridges are a thing now, replacing the empty cases with download codes that plagued the Switch 1. While they still require a download, they're also able to be resold and returned. And they're far more cheaper, since all they have is the license.
comment in response to post
Back to objectivity. Switch cartridges are far more expensive to produce than stuff like Blu-Ray discs, and they only get more expensive the higher capacity they are. According to the Switch 2 Direct, Switch 2 cartridges have a higher data transfer rate, so they might be even more expensive.
comment in response to post
If you already own a Switch 1, you've already got access to all those games, so buying a Switch 2 won't open the door to more than a few new titles. The holiday season is probably when everything's going to come out, so waiting for then is probably going to be the best option.
comment in response to post
Alright, here's Opinion Zone #1: Getting a Switch 2 at launch isn't worth it unless you don't own a Switch 1. The advantage the Steam Deck offers is that it already has a massive library and PC freedom, and a majority of the Switch 2's launch library is Switch 1 games.

A Steam Deck is $400 for a 256GB model. It has a 60Hz display, and has slightly lower performance than the Switch 2. And if you want to buy a dock, it's sold separately for $80. It doesn't process any faster in docked mode either, so performance takes a massive hit.
comment in response to post
So, to start with: the console. As we all know, the Switch 2 is a $450 console. It has 256GB of storage, a 120Hz display with HDR, and it has power comparable to a PS4 in handheld mode (and closer to an Xbox Series S in docked mode). And also a dock.
