Posted here are politically relevant notes to myself, publicly available. Apolitical is political; no one is beyond politics, or history. And physics is not a good lens through which to view social reality.

Some idiot is now on the BBC and going on about the bonhomie between Starmer and Trump. Nauseating.
Friedrich Merz -- along with Zelensky -- seems to be our only hope.

Europe, Canada, and the rest of the non-autocratic world absolutely must step up with significant force and get in the fight -- because it is their fight, not merely Ukraine's.
The USA has become a fucking disgrace. Maybe it will fuck off now and stay isolated. Friedrich Merz seems to understand.

The behavior of the Trump regime on Friday 28 Feb 2025 has surely put an end to the extortion racket they were using to squeeze Ukraine.
The USA becomes irrelevant, beginning today.

14. We are at this juncture with Trump, Vance, Musk, and many others who are themselves fascists. The entire cabinet is anti-qualified. And, critically, we have large swaths of the population who are drawn to a fascist way of being: they like it, they like Trump, they like Vance, and they like Musk.

12. What's left is assholery, malignancy, being actually *drawn* to the vile personalities of Trump and Vance.
13. In the USA we already have competitive authoritarianism, and so we are on a slope that, if followed, may well lead to fascism -- in a way no one can pretend not to see.

11. At what point are their no excuses left for those who would defend, apologize for, or merely be neutral on Trump and Vance? Sheer stupidity, sheer ignorance, sheer credulity, sheer denial, and sheer delusion only get you so far.

9. Since Trump & Vance have been so deeply disgusting already, it is a safe bet that their supporters en masse remain steadfast.
10. If almost half the electorate remains not thoroughly disgusted with Trump and Vance, that is a damning incrimination of society in the USA.

7. Of the 77,284,118 people who voted for Trump-Vance, how many are still not disgusted with them? They have done enough. Have they no sense of decency?
8. It is an unambiguous sign of being a sick human being if you are even now not disgusted with both Trump and Vance.

4. Their disgusting behavior reached a new level in the Oval Office on Friday 28 February 2025.
5. Trump and Vance have no shame. They are irredeemably sick human beings -- assholes, sociopaths.
6. They almost certainly set up Zelensky today in an ambush -- premeditated -- and behaved appallingly.

And people not of ill intent STILL don't understand it, while Republicans, just like Lindsey Graham, who is as repellant as they come, are 100% Trumpers till the die.

Yes indeed, that is how ass-clown Douthat operates all the time.

Irredeemable motherfuckers.
Also, China-Taiwan was always latent, but contingent on what happens with Ukraine. China now absolutely knows they can go ahead with conquest.
War -- world war -- gets closer every day, thanks to the twin regimes of Trump Putin and Xi's regime.

'Graham called the meeting a “complete, utter disaster” and said he’s “never been more proud” of Trump.
Asked whether Zelenskyy should step aside, Graham responded: “He either needs to resign or send somebody over that we can do business with, or he needs to change.”'

Also, fascism was, very arguably, born in the USA: the post-Civil War KKK and its explicit support by elected officials in the South.
