🕺 Dancing with the Stars: Live! 2025 @ Live Nation— Seeing the glitz, glam and breathtaking performances of America’s favorite dance show! Starring Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Rylee Arnold and more special guests!

😶‍🌫️ The Shining @ Portland Opera, Newmark Theatre— Paul Moravec & Mark Campbell’s opera based on Stephen King’s novel telling the chilling tale about the Torrence family, who arrive at the remote Overlook Hotel as off-season, winter caretakers in 1977, and discover it is haunted by malevolent forces.

🎶 Resonance Nova @ Orchestra Nova Northwest & Resonance Ensemble— 100 musicians. 3 ground-breaking works. 1 vision. Performing Caroline Shaw’s “To the Hands,” Margaret Bonds’ “Credo,” and Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem.” Joined by the combined choruses from Lewis and Clark and Reed Colleges.

🎻 Altan— The Irish folk music band formed in County Donegal in Ireland by lead vocalist Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and her late husband Frankie Kennedy. Lead ushering at their concert where they bring out the beauty of traditional Celtic fiddlers and singers!

🎹 The Piano Guys— I’m so excited to finally see this quartet, consisting of Jon Schmidt (pianist, songwriter), Steven Sharp Nelson (cellist, songwriter), Paul Anderson (producer, videographer), and Al van der Beek (music producer, songwriter)! I’ve been a big fan of their videos since high school!

🏳️‍⚧️ Here to Pee: Trans Comedy Protest Tour— A comedy tour with an all-trans performer lineup led by Ren Q. Dawe in a movement to flush away discriminatory laws through the power of humor!

⭐️ Hamilton @ Broadway in Portland— Ushering in the room where it happens! Lin-Manuel Miranda’s historical masterpiece perform in PDX. This run will also have general rush tickets for $49!

📄 Pride and Prejudice @ Mask & Mirror Community Theatre— Written by Kate Hamill, based on Jane Austen’s novel. Not your grandmother’s Austen! Bold, surprising, boisterous, and timely, this P&P for a new era explores the absurdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life.

🌌 Silent Sky @ Mt Hood Repertory Theatre— An intimate and magical play with stunning celestial visuals performed in OMSI’s Kendall Planetarium about 19th century astronomer Henrietta Swan Leavitt.

🧑🏻 An Evening with Jake Shimabukuro 03/04/25— The ukulele marvel mesmerizes audiences with his innovative and dynamic style, showing a knack for moving effortlessly between genres, sometimes in the same song. Featuring bassist Jackson Waldhoff!

🙅🏻‍♂️ The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals @ Chapel Theatre 03/03/25— Starkid's crudely hilarious musical that follows Paul, an average guy who “doesn’t like musicals,” as the citizens of his town are gradually overcome by an alien hive mind that makes them sing and dance as if they are in a musical.

🤡 Recta’s Hole: a messy, goth, drag, clown thing @ Fuse Theatre Ensemble 02/28/25— Rusty Tennant's Recta Borealis makes their debut in a brooding, rage-filled, and kinda funny solo performance-art that addresses the onset of facism on our collective queerness.

❤️‍🔥 Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical @ Funhouse Lounge 02/27/25— First love is a bittersweet symphony. Yes, it’s the movie you love, set to the songs you know! The characters may be terrible people, but they'll give you a lot of laughs and nostalgia!

👨🏿‍🤝‍👨🏻 A Case for the Existence of God @ Third Rail Repertory Theatre— Samuel D. Hunter’s play directed by Maureen Porter about Keith, a gay Black mortgage broker, and Ryan, a straight White yogurt plant employee trying to get a loan, who connect over their experiences of fatherhood and loneliness.

🦧 Sapience @ Artists Repertory Theatre & PHAME 02/25/25— Diana Burbano’s play directed by Melory Mirashrafi about a primatologist named Elsa studying the language abilities of an orangutan, Wookie, showing an imaginative exploration of love, communication, and the universal desire to be understood.

💔 Giselle @ Oregon Ballet Theatre 02/21/25— The classical ballet about a small-town girl dies of a broken heart and joins the Wills, a legion of maiden ghosts who seek revenge on the men who betrayed them. Ushering at this spirited display of dance at Keller Auditorium.

🧑‍🏫 Fun Home @ Metropolitan Performing Arts 02/20/25— The musical adaptation of Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic memoir, about her discovery of her own lesbian sexuality and her relationship with her closeted gay father. Bringing the comic onto the stage spreads her joy and tugs on your heartstrings.

👩🏼 Nikki Glaser: Alive and Unwell @ Outback Presents at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall 02/16/25 — With openers Sean O’Connor and Tommy Brennan. Ushering at this touring comedy show tonight.

📺 Hairspray @ Stumptown Stages 02/16/25— Volunteering for closing night at this musical piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. The cast and crew bring 1950's Baltimore to stage and sing, act, and dance their way into our hearts in a fun and spectacular experience!

💙 Celebrating Ernie Lijoi 02/15/25— Honoring a friend, and trail-blazing actor, singer, playwright, composer, and all-around multi-talent, who was loved by many, including the performing arts and queer communities, and whose music and words inspired me and generations of artists.

🎼 Blockbuster Broadway! @ Oregon Symphony 02/14/25— The only thing better than spending Valentine’s Day at a hit Broadway show is spending an evening with ALL of them. 4 singers join OSO in songs from Hamilton, Lion King, Jersey Boys, Annie, Hair, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and more!

🩰 Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo 02/12/25— Ballet meets comedy and drag with this troupe of all-male dancers from New York that has earned international acclaim both for their skillful pointe work and their iconoclastic, gender-bending humor. Produced by White Bird at ASCH.

👩🏻‍🦳 An Evening with Storm Large @ Portland Center Stage 02/10/25— Known for her powerhouse vocals, magnetic stage presence, and soulful storytelling. It was exciting to house manage this special benefit concert.

💀 Hamlet @ Sherwood Theater & Art Resource Society 02/09/25— STAR Society Shakespeare Troupe brings the tragedy of the Danish prince and one of The Bard's greatest plays of all time at The Loft.

✝️ JC: Gospel According to an Angel @ Triangle Productions! 02/08/25— Donnie & Michael Allen Harrison's new 1-act musical that tells a fascinating and scrutinized take on the story of Jesus Christ, asking the question, “Why do you believe what you believe?”

🎻 Fiddler on the Roof @ Gallery Theater 02/07/25— This McMinnville company continues their tradition of bringing their community together to watch, work, and perform stories that leave us crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 American Son @ Twilight Theatre Company 02/06/25— Volunteering at a play written by Christopher Demos-Brown about an estranged Black mother and a White father who must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident.

🚋 A Streetcar Named Desire @ Imago Theatre 02/02/25— The production tackles Tennessee Williams’s 3-act visceral tragedy with great intensity from the cast and an impressive image of the New Orleans French Quarter in the scenic design. Its characters fascinate, infuriate, and disturb us to this day.

🦢 Kiki’s Delivery Service of Swan Songs and Awkward Hand Holding @ Portland Queer Arts Foundation in The Old Church 02/01/25— Singer/actor Kimo Camat rounds out his concert trilogy about finding himself and finding his voice. It’s about fresh beginnings, how we heal, and new connections.

🌃 Fly by Night @ Tapestry Theater Collective/Bridgetown Conservatory 02/01/25— A darkly comic rock-fable about a love triangle in 1965 NYC. A magical whirlwind of self-discovery and heartbreak told with beautiful music from 7 actors, including a Narrator wearing many hats, who shine like the stars.

👫🏽 123 Andrés 02/01/25— ¡Uno, dos, tres! The Grammy- and Latin Grammy-winning husband-and-wife duo Christina and Andrés bring an interactive, high energy show for kids and families packed with Spanish and English songs! Working box office as they bring their joy to Patricia Reser Center for the Arts.

🤰🏾 Samsara @ Profile Theatre 01/31/25— Lauren Yee’s play about a woman in India who is chosen be a surrogate for a White American couple. A hysterical take on what to expect when you’re expecting someone else’s child. This fast-paced 5-actor dramedy performed at Artists Rep is delightful and moving.

🪩 8-Track: The Sounds of the ‘70s in Concert @ Broadway Rose Theatre Company 01/29/25— 4 singers bring over 50 songs in this joyful revue goes on a time-traveling journey back to an era of vibrant songs, electric choreography, and outstanding harmonies, bringing the best of soul, pop, and disco!

🥁 Kodō One Earth Tour: Warabe 01/28/25— Celebrating more than 40 years, this thrilling performance by highly athletic Japanese drummers blends forms of taiko expression that create a universe of sound and emotion through thunderous percussion and polished theatricality.

🚺 Mrs. Harrison @ Portland Center Stage 01/21/25— It's a showdown in a restroom during a 10-year reunion when Holly, a White struggling comedian, accuses Aisha, a Black successful playwright, of stealing her tragic life story in her play. The dynamic 1-act 2-hander strikes at your heart and brain.

🎢 Kimberly Akimbo @ Broadway in Portland 01/18/25— Carolee Carmello stars in this touring musical about a teenage girl living with a condition that gives her the appearance of an elderly woman. Ushering this time is a joy, seeing this small but mighty cast take you on a roller coaster of emotions!
