Will have to taper off my shopping at Target, and I’ve already quit Amazon. I’m currently driving a Ford and was going to get a Toyota if the tariffs don’t make it impossible, but I’m will change my plans now.

He's no King. He's barely a president. But he's absolutely an embarrassment.

Can’t imagine why this is on my mind as my city burns and Trump comes back into power.

Under siege by Los Angeles wildfires, the J. Paul Getty Museum is emerging as a near-miraculous beacon of disaster preparedness. Behind the scenes, it’s taking a small army to defend. 🔗: https://on.wsj.com/4ape9zB

To those of us living here, it sounds like some people are trying to use the fact that some celebrities lost homes as an excuse to ignore Californians while our world burns. Californians will remember.

My Inauguration Day tree for 2025: black and white mourning baubles, inverted flag bow, Antichrist tree topper. I have opinions.

I would just like to say that reading over my few entries... my BlueSky account makes me look like a grump. I intend to be muuuuch more chocolate and puppies oriented in the new year.

I would just like to say: after fires, evacuation, holiday stress and the impending doom that comes with 2025... ...I really, really did enjoy eating my yearly Christmas chocolate orange. Like... really. Yum. Nostalgia and chocolate are both powerful, powerful things.

FBI saying the suicide bomber that blew himself up on the doorstep of Trump tower had no ill feelings against the incoming president - the suicide bombing is purely a coincidence - is utter horseshit. Obvious lies like this are how we get conspiracy theories.

Starting off the new years right! By waiting in my bank lobby to get my finances in order after fraudulent charges were made to me on the 1st. Yaaay. 2025 getting a swift, first kick to the balls to introduce itself.

Trying to teach my 83 year old father how to play Bioshock after he asked to play a modern video game on his new TV. He’s been complaining that it’s not pac-man for the past hour.

My plans for the new year: more time with friends not planned around an event. I miss stupid hangout time with no productive purpose.

Thinking today of Carrie Ann Lucas, a shining light in the world of disability justice who died at 47 from a preventable series of infections because UnitedHealthCare needlessly denied her coverage. www.forbes.com/sites/sarahk...

Just watched Edward Scissorhands for the first time in forever. Just the right fairy tale notes for me, and probably helped set the tone for my goth-adjacent holiday tastes. That said, I couldn't stop seeing an allegory for immigration in our United States in the film I'd never seen before.

Obligatory first post! Deep thoughts! Will fill in more later, right now I’m just lurking.
