Is this like the guy on the street who asks you to hold his money, but wrap it up in a bundle with yours so he feels secure?

Pre-k for all saved me $80k I didn’t have on my twins’ education and care when they were placed by the city in a Montessori school 3 blocks from our home. And De Blasio is dead right about Cuomo and the Times’ disconnect from daily NYC life. That piece was shockingly misinformed and destructive.

My favorite lesson from WG is how the bit of research on Butch Cassidy - a courtroom anecdote in which Butch is unable to promise a judge he wouldn’t commit crime in his state again in exchange for freedom - convinced him he had to write the movie, didn’t end up in the script.

De Blasio’s “dismaying mayoralty” resulted in pre-k for all, which saved my and countless other families a fortune. My twins were placed in a Montessori school that typically charges $40k per year per student. An $80k benefit to our family.

Thank you for this beautiful piece. I had ID twin girls at 55. They’re now seven and still fairly oblivious to the unusual timeline I’ve subjected them to. When I learned the embryo had split, I took some comfort in the knowledge they’d arrive with a lifelong family bond.

My 3rd great-grandfather’s unit, 1st Troop Philadelphia Cavalry, who served for a time as George Washington’s security detail, would be appalled by Trump’s display.

Very Trumpian.

What happened to that sanctity of states rights? These people were elected by their constituents.

You have to ignore decades of Dolan history to have confidence in this assessment.

My favorite is the people who honk behind me while I’m waiting for pedestrians to clear the crosswalk. Sorry, next time I’ll run them over.

I’ve noticed this as a recent development and wondered same.

I remember working as a PA on Ron Howard’s “Splash” and seeing him reading Cal between set-ups. I’d already read and loved the book and thought, “The man’s got good taste. Maybe he’ll make something of this directing career.”

Well, he won’t be doing it next year.

Bridges and KAT both won playoff games for Knicks they’d have lost within them. Not even a full year together and 2 wins from finals. Without Knicks injuries, Pacers lose in 2nd rd last year. They stood pat, got better at the margins and made the finals. But we should break up the Knicks.

The hot take business has destroyed thoughtful analysis. “Brunson is the messiah!” to “Can’t win with Brunson.” “Send more picks to the Nets!” to “Bridges is trash.” in 24 hrs. Does the team need to get better? Yup. Can it happen without a total roster overhaul, or new coach? Of course.

I’m on the #1 train right now with my daughter’s 2nd grade class, who are apparently braver and more confident in themselves than the Secretary of Transportation.
