I never used X to begin with and the fact that one calls it „X” does not mean they have to find the platform a pleasant place to hang around. There is just something about being formal and pedantic regarding such things that feels nice to me.

Unfortunately it's bound to happen as a platform grows, if that's what you are referring to. The fact that Bluesky resembles Twitter probably doesn't help either.

Most things I read about were either fulfilled pretty well or are further into the future and still under „planned”, so I guess full-dive VR is the closest that comes to my mind.

The way people hate on completely normal or even good things has been bothering me for a while, but clichés are probably the best example of this, now that you point this out. Other things I saw were criticism over stories taking themselves seriously or fancy wording.
