I saw just today it is available on sale for Xbox. Maybe I need to give it a go.

Waaaaay back during the first Gulf War I was extremely concerned I would be the fifth generation to serve. I was already 20, and a draft was never even mentioned, but that didn’t matter. Fear is fear. People are afraid of lightning and look at those odds.

Yes. Important to remember grandpa didn’t need to actually be drafted to have a draft story to pass down after Thanksgiving dinner. If you were in that age bracket, it touched you. Men went back to school, had kids, got bone spurs, or have a story about how close it got to their number.

Christ, when you put it like that, I think maybe I *should* worry about it, lol.

Popped by from the “Bill Kristol Reverts To The Mean”livestream to say I believe in a very wide tent which is why I pay for your content on YT. (why are YT and Sstack subs different?) However, I had to stop myself from unsubscribing today. The next 24hrs of content will say a lot about your site.

Pretty sure we’re always gonna be just one more strike away from eliminating The Threat.

Literally written as a serialized entertainment. smh “I love The Sopranos but please remove all the accents and set it in Denver.”

Maybe we should just call off the internal invasion before we think about the external one

Siri, what are some red flag drink orders?

This is true. I remember the late ‘aughts when all of a sudden Canadian lumber jumped up and it was not pleasant. Back then “Baltic Birch” got popular but I’m pretty sure sanctions are still on Vlad. NBD because all the builders are too scared of Temu Gestapo to come to work anyway.

Thank goodness it wasn’t a first date but “Natural Born Killers”.

I think this is the random recommendation that is going to put me over the top to watch that. I keep seeing people say it. Apple just does zero promotion. So, you for your service, randos!

He is so good in Sugar that even though I couldn’t tell if I liked or didn’t like it (which makes the experience sound worse than it was) I kept watching it. Apple takes big swings, and I’d rather watch a big swing not land than another meh story of 2 hours stretched out for 6 one hour episodes.

Big, big seconding of “The Studio” recommendation. Very funny, great performances, and some astonishing technical filmmaking.

“Are you surprised.” Yes. Yes I am surprised that a Nazi won an award for a student paper arguing for the Ku Klux Klan’s interpretation of the Constitution, openly and with barely veiled threats of reactionary violence if his view did not prevail.

“Most blokes get to 2K and they’re stuck. That’s as high as they go. But this one goes to 3. 3K, which is, you know, one higher.”

You’re trying to make it sound like I’d ever want to take a video from any height other than the height my eyes are at, which is obviously ridiculous. Why would I use my arm to get a video from over my head when I can simply carry a 3’ stool on my back at all times?

Ripped him apart? The only thing JD (if that’s still his name) looks like he rips apart is moon pies.

Anyone who follows the National League knows if ICE tries to arrest the Dodgers the Dodgers will just call up a whole other team of elite Dodgers and then bring in even more Dodgers from Japan. It’s fucking Dodgers all the way down, man.

This post is how I found out your long quest came to fruition. Congratulations! I’m sorry you had to keep at it to fight grifters but I do get a lot of pleasure out imagining how “I’m going to study her feed so hard I get inside her mind to impersonate her” worked out for them.
