Not so much a change of heart. Ziggy could've been my no. 1, but I reckon it will do OK without my vote.

As it stands, though may be subject to change! 😆

I'm down to a shortlist of 12 now, but all 4 made the cut.
I love the Harmonia & Eno albums, but Kraftwerk & Can are prob more likely to make my 5. Not sure if I'll manage to fit them both in though!

Yes, agreed. Both great albums. Shame though that the Bob vote is getting split 3 ways. Might not make the grand final as a result.

And then there's the Germans (& Eno) #5albums70s3
Might be the hardest group yet. Feel bad for leaving out a v.good Cluster album here, but I felt Eno had to be in & fitted in here better than anywhere else.
For me, the best Can & Kraftwerk albums, combined with a masterpiece from Harmonia.

If only it was so easy. My 'shortlist' was stuck at about 40 albums. So I figured I'd try & pick 1 or 2 faves from each genre and see if I could narrow down from there.
Zuma & Meddle from here, some Marvin, maybe Bill Withers. KT & The Upsetters. The Ramones & then there's the Germans oh & Eno! 🤯

Reggae/ dub choices #5albums70s3
3x Bob Marley albums drawn in the same group is a killer. Live & Exodus have the hits, but Kaya is prob my favourite album of the 3.
But it's all about the dub.
King Tubby meets Rockers is a no-brainer, but Super Ape is giving it a good run for its money.

I hear you. Would be an absolute travesty if Marvin didn't get through. Would like to squeeze some Bill in there too, Just As I Am is such a great record. But I might struggle sadly.

Zuma should be in, fine album. Cortez The Killer 🔥

Love it mate. Total classic. but reckon it'll probably win, even without my vote.

Low just misses out, Gene Clark & John Lennon weren't too far away either, but these are my top 4 'classic rock' albums #5albums70s3.
All are well played & so it could be difficult to cut further. Ziggy prob just shades it, but does it need my vote? Zuma has to be in & Meddle is sounding amazing.

Shame those 3 Bob albums are up against each other in this round. Exodus & Live have so many good tunes, they are almost like best ofs. Kaya might be my favourite album though.

I thought that too. But listening to them back to back, think I enjoyed Super Ape more. Maybe just cause I hadn't heard it for a while. Another listen might be needed...

Finding it very hard to pick a favourite from these 2.

Strong group.
As tempted as I am to go for Fire Engines or Orange Juice. It has to be JAMC...

Yes, I guess it is. Think, my eldest is just at that age where there's a natural tendency to rebel against ur parents' music tastes (amongst other things!). We've all been there. But we do still share some likes, been to see Little Simz with her. And we have Michael Kiwanuka coming up next month.

Perseverance is key! 😆 Generally, my daughters don't appreciate most of my musical choices. My son, is a bit more tolerant. Which gives me hope.

Love a bit of Fela Kuti. Just sneaked in, ahead of Funkadelic & Talking Heads.
