I honestly believe Trump is a Weekend at Bernie's character at this point, being controlled mainly by Stephen Miller but also by Kegbreath and some of the other deplorables. Which is scary. No one voted for Miller, and he is just pure evil.

Even if a company writes in blood "we will not share your data", this is America, Land of Acquisitions and Mergers, and once they take the money and run, your sensitive data is at the whims of the new owners. Never assume.

If this isn't already a horror film, it should be. Stephen King? :-)

Washington was built upon a swamp. I would love to see a sinkhole open up, preferably under his viewing stand.

We've taken to calling him El Pendejo.
Or in the Spanish tradition of long names,
El Pendejo Grande, Viejo y Senil

If any of the latest crop of religious extremists want their religion to dominate in the US, they need to get its one *true* religion out of the way first. In God We Tru$t. America is about money, ingrained in everyone from the youngest age.

Great piece. Will read Marsh's book Binding Chaos. Tech doesn't have to be Terminator just because movies and TV harp on that theme, it has potential for good.

... And we would send the military into that country to restore "freedom." We are such hypocrites. I've given up expecting Fox News to come clean, but it's a disgrace when BOM* is also amplifying lies.
* Let's not mince words. This is the billionaire owned media.

I was a subcontractor for the state department around 1990, and by that time it wasn't at all unusual to have "extrajudicial" actions. (Yes, paramilitary operations were run under State's umbrella). But they were in other countries, which was bad enough. Now we're doing them in our own country.

In the history of Republican presidents, we had Silent Cal, now we have Loudmouth Don. In the process of being rid of him, we could start by getting him to STFU. He should not even have a platform, saying these horrible things.

That he shot this reporter deliberately is shameful. And - the dude on the horse with a sword (?) - does he think he's Custer or something? To use an Andrew Jackson phrase - his end will be the same.

Hey, Jesus Boy. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
Oh, why bother, he's an unabashed hypocrite.

DC, that imperfect, beautiful city that I lived near and frequented often. What this'll do to the roads will be ugly, but nothing like the ugliness of the spectacle's optics.

A bit like what Putin is doing against Ukraine, no?

And this certainly is the argument used by every second amendment gun nut, which is that they need weapons to resist a rogue government. They only wanted it when there was perceived tyranny from a blue government. What we're seeing now is real tyranny.

He got greedy. He could at least have cheated and made it plausible. But they know the stupidity of their supporters, and don't care what we think.

Wouldn't track, when he just told Merz that D-Day was "not a great day." So he wished the Nazis had won? Who knows. He's nuts

Would T go back to using Russia for launches? A sickening, stupid idea - which means with T it's possible.
Obama liked to use the term "critical infrastructure", and our space fleet could certainly fit that category.

And he's dragging ratings down for his less awful colleagues at CNN. Having CNN do a de facto infomercial for this gossip rag of a book helped no one. They bet on the wrong horse with this guy.

The choice was between him - and Fetterman?
Fuuuuuuuhhh....

A tiny bit sorry for the others. But for several days CNN ran one big infomercial for this trashy book, so they now reap what they sow.

OK, so he's "out of government" now. Can we execute his STFU clause?

It looks elaborate and relatively expensive , but still nothing compared to the fleet that it took out. When an operation has so many moving parts, there are many more things to go wrong, yet it went off without a hitch. This was an amazing feat.

Pootie's beloved bridge. By all accounts, an expensive engineering nightmare. It's a wonder it didn't fall down on its own.

New version of the Court Jester? Odd, when the "king" himself is a clown. But also mentally incompetent. We really are approaching Weekend At Bernie's territory.

It'd be interesting to see the dollar value of the drones vs. Aircraft etc. destroyed. No doubt a huge ratio. Asymmetrical, inverse to the sizes of the opponents. UA laid waste to a huge portion of the invaders' fleet, relatively cheaply. And surgically. Well done.

Probably why they're pushing so hard to replace workers with AI and robots. If they make large strides in this direction, may it blow up in their faces. And AI form a union and strike.

A critic was seeking an expression to poke fun at a particularly pompous musician and their bombastic concert. He needed something stronger than nonevent, so he chose a term that fits well for this Trump ego-fest as well: Ersatz Event. Phony, contrived attempt at joy. No joy for the joyless.
