Nintendo still has such a weird mentality to "Promotional" material, and others sharing content of theirs. Like its meant to be promotional right? That means you want people to see it right?

It's up to us to hold our representatives accountable regardless where they sit in the political isle. We cannot continue to accept the status quo Democratic leadership refuses to let go of, because in the next 8 years this will be the new "normal" they try to preserve from an even worse nightmare.

In the meantime, beyond just voting we 1) need to lookout for our local communities. Nobody is coming to save us, and our chances of survival increase when we work together. 2) We need to get off our asses and put the work in, whether that's protest or working on a campaign, we need to contribute.

We have to vote for leaders not only with bold progressive policies popular with the majority of Americans, but who are willing to fight their opposition like our Democracy requires. This will not happen overnight (8/?)

Democrats will likely retake the white house even in the face of sweeping voter restrictions. When this happens, we CANNOT continue down the path of Neo Liberalism, incremental change & "they go low we go high" politics. (7/?)

As a result, each time the Dems retake control, the "normal" that they strife to preserve has been shifted much further to the right.
Which brings us exactly where we are today, where unless we as a country do something different, we are destined to continue down this road. (6/?)

This poses a significant problem because one of the primary goals of current Dem leadership is "preserving normality". While Dems strive to preserve normality, Republicans strive to change the status quo (and consistly for the worst for those of us not in the highest tax brackets). (5/?)

Otherwise though, it's business as usual. Americans are left underwhelmed and desire change, so the Republican steps up and promises just that. American voters with their short term memory put their trust in them and the oroboros repeats. (4/?)

Republican enters office & makes sweeping cuts to government programs/regulations. Americans get pissed & lean Dem next election. Dems rather than making sweeping changes in the opposite direction focus on minut technocratic adjustments with an occasional bold policy thrown in as a bone. (3/?)

But that has to be the start of something more. This rot goes FAR beyond just Donald Trump or even the Republican Party as a whole. For decades now since the Reagan administration, every 4-8 years we've had a pendulum swing: (2/?)
