I keep telling my husband the same thing - that I’m honestly not sure if we’ll all even be here in 2 years. It seems that we’re inching closer to that each day.

Since when is being a girl considered “gender ideology”? I’m not even going to ask CONald and his paramour what they think being a boy is.
comment in response to post
Actually, all you need is Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and the Wicked movie cast. And a few professional athletes who REALLY know the score.

Actually it’s more like this: 1/3 of the country thinks what’s happening is great; 1/3 of the country doesn’t care about what’s happening and feels they can’t do anything about it anyway; and 1/3 of the country is sounding very loud alarm bells but very few are actually listening.

I’m not into organized religion anyway.

Trump’s new paramour - Elonia.

Couldn’t read the article - blocked by a paywall (of course everyone has to make money somehow)

My late brother-in-law (who was a Marine who served in Vietnam) once said that a soldier is a soldier, a sailor is a sailor and a Marine will always be a Marine. I would like to add REGARDLESS OF GENDER. I still believe in that - even now.

Looks like a TikTok clip video but I get the point.

uuummm…everyone can screenshot everyone else’s posts whether they’re on Facebook, X, or even here on Bluesky. They’re all PUBLIC, people - even if your account is private. You put it out there on a public forum.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. Look who “owns” those politicians.
comment in response to post
Betty, I think you just described most MAGAs.
comment in response to post
Love the cosplay! Too bad my husband doesn’t like Bluesky (or X, for that matter). You and he would hit it off well with him being into superheros and D&D (among other things).

What - CONald is not happy with having Fox Noise, NewsLax, Half America Network and just about every local TV station owned by Sinclair Media?
comment in response to post
Well, DeSantis is asking to get himself into some VERY hot water from Florida’s ag industry who rely on migrant farm workers to pick their crops every year. Go MAGA - go broke, eh Ron?
comment in response to post
Kudos to Judge Coughenour for taking a stand for the Constitution. The language in the 14th Amendment is crystal clear- it’s not our fault that CONald has little to no reading comprehension skills.

I’m surprised that That Felon Guy hasn’t appointed him to a Cabinet position yet.
comment in response to post
If The Orange Felon is so worried about immigrants “taking American jobs” then the solution is simple - he should have many of the people who voted for him who can’t find other jobs go work in those fields. Win-win!

Wow! My husband (who is GenX, BTW) would probably do anything to get that! He loves the old Atari games (and actually has a collection of old systems and games from Atari 1600 up to PS2)! Thanks, Mom - you just gave me my husband’s birthday present for this year!

I’m going to have to challenge you on the “better driving in winter” part. I’d love to see any southerner drive in Northern Illinois during a really good snowstorm that we normally get during the winter.

Umm..this time the MAGATs are right. Any service that’s paid for tax dollars is considered socialism. But they ARE wrong in one way - socialism isn’t a bad thing. Without it there wouldn’t be any first responders around to save their asses when they need it.

Maybe it IS a man. Maybe it’s really Elon.

What really sucks is that she recorded one of my favorite songs from the year I was born.
comment in response to post
There was a song written about Donald. It’s called Don’t Fear The Reaper

Looks like she already got her sweet smile and she’s looking for the next one.

I wish Pierre Berton was still around with us. He would definitely set Trump straight in no uncertain terms. And he wouldn’t be diplomatic about it either.
comment in response to post
Nah. Elon’s his paramour now but let’s see how long that lasts.
comment in response to post
Of course the Supremes are going to do that. Trump owns them too, just like most of his cabinet picks.

Because the GOP members of Congress are deftly afraid of another riot coming their way.

I’ve had an iPhone now for about 5 years. The only reason I have one is because of my work. Before that I was straight up Android. Maybe it’s time to switch back maybe?
comment in response to post
Now that’s his new paramour Elon’s job.
comment in response to post
Guess what? The android phone I’m looking at is a Samsung Flip 6. Which costs just about the same as an iPhone 16 Pro.

What the Religious Right forgets is that GenZ and GenAlpha can (and do) run rings around the much older folks who set the laws when it comes to technology. Trust me - they will find at least 100 workarounds that don’t require a VPN.
comment in response to post
That is one very touching and from the heart message that’s still traveling today. IMO the TNG folks missed a very huge boat - they should have had Jimmy Carter on as an emissary of a planet similar to Earth - and he wouldn’t have to act. They could even let him write his lines.
comment in response to post
My husband is also a fan of Columbo. He watches clips on YouTube where he finds them.
comment in response to post
That’s because the Bluesky overlords know an idiot when they see one.
comment in response to post
I consider Jimmy Carter a world class superhero. He had his powers all right - faith, wisdom, diplomacy, humility, honor and work ethic - and he used those powers to help others all over the world. May the Lord welcome him with wide open arms.
comment in response to post
Hey Elon, maybe you should ask yourself why.
comment in response to post
My dad said that exact same thing back in the 1980s. “Not everyone can be the CEO - even THEY need their car fixed”. My dad did exactly that for many of those folks (some famous, some not) over 30 years.

I have yet to see AI come over and install HVAC or update a complete plumbing system.

You’re the one who doesn’t know what you’re talking about. Or at least you’re half right. The HHS budget is 1.7 trillion. However… First off, Social Security is NOT a welfare program. Their 2024 budget was $14.2 billion. Secondly, the budget for child welfare programs is $11 billion.

Srsly? Tom Petty had an outstanding solo career. Roy Orbison’s wasn’t too bad either. Dylan was a trailblazer in his own right And didn’t George Harrison once work with two guys named Lennon and McCartney?? I rest my case.

What nobody is saying is that Danes pay higher taxes than Americans do to maintain that standard. If only someone had the ⚽️🏀🏈🎾⚾️ (plural) to (a) terminate Citizens United; and (b) start taxing the wealthy WITH FEW tax breaks for them, maybe we can be like Denmark too.

Oh crap. That sounds like EVERY Bears game so far this season.

Thanks MAGATS for putting this 🤡 in the White House. It really won’t surprise me if my SS check will be either the size of a flea or wiped out entirely by the time I hit 67 (approximately 3 years from now). Lady in PA should have thought about that before voting.
