Good question, ask him?

Why are you yelling at him. He's doing his job. I don't get how you think they aren't doing what they can?

Watch and listen to AOC and others like her. Resistance is not like an aspirin, it takes time. Don't consent in advance. If you are fighting for a system, use the systems' tools. Courts are actually moving very quickly, contempt orders? Arrest warrants?

I worked for county government and was part of that union. It was a good job and I worked my ass off. School teachers are so underpaid and over worked. Sure there's graft in every realm, but unions help. Just because they're public jobs doesn't mean they don't need unions.

You do know that it's Republicans who have blocked tax reform and given tax breaks to the wealthiest for many decades. Nobody loves paying taxes but we like having roads, hospitals, veterans benefits? Our tax codes are deeply unfair to lower and middle-class people. Maybe you should be a Democrat?

Serious question? That's silly. No you can't assume that. Anti- racists are too busy doing good work to make life better for others. They don't ignore or pretend racism doesn't exist and they take actions in support of this view. Does that help you make sense??

As noted in comments, there's also Elise stefanik's seat in upstate NY. I took a little dive into the Dems running and it does not look good. Their statements are ridiculous, almost funny. Definitely no one charismatic or making much sense even. I don't think this looks good for Florida or New York.

Yeah that's not going to happen. Maybe run ads during the super bowl?

Watch where and when he says it. How he says it. Yes it's ethnic cleansing. I do not think this is a distraction. I think we better take this seriously.

I have young adult kids. I believe It was a lot of naive activist "purists" kids who have no perspective, also young people of color who never feel they are represented by elected folks. But ALL stupidly underestimating what he will do.

I want to say the same so much but it doesn't help. Kills me.

2/claims he can freeze payments he chooses. Nixon tried this and congress then passed a law explicitly saying no. Federal spending is passed by Congress. But no one seems to know how to stop it.

I guess the headline bothered me. It said the site was scrubbed and I think I'm reacting to all the panic and headlines that get our attention as we know but are kind of exhausting

No, I agree. Deb it's still there and there are a lot of pages. I tried to look for those specific things but I only had so much time. Someone mentioned those missing pages are for healthcare providers, I didn't look there

These a-holes are doing things no one ever imagined anyone would do, so there aren't immediate clear actions to take. There are no policies in place. Doesn't mean there aren't solutions. Instead of yelling that the Dems have no backbone, do what you can? spread the information, more need to know

Along those lines, I've been thinking that people should focus any extra cash towards ACLU and such orgs, to keep up the good pressures.

Kind of like a strike. Yes, I could see that being a powerful move, although they don't play by any rules we're used to, so who knows what they would do in response

Part of how Trump won is that so many people were too annoyed at them to vote. I've been engaged in activism and politics for 40 years, the Dems often don't really represent me, but it's the option we have until we actually build a solid third party, which we have never done.

Everybody blaming the Democratic party right now, you can just keep complaining or you can get off your butt and face the facts. They're the only option we have right now. Did they fail? Did we fail? I'd say it's a combination of many, many things But we got to fight with whatever tools we have.
