Jace, We agree. GOP has succeeded in making a difficult family and personal issue for a sliver of the American people into a winning issue politically. Jesus would not embrace this cruel practice in his name. We need to focus our fire on the rule of law, the economy and the capitulation to Russia.

You have a point. Maybe I was thinking of the voters, not the President. Trump has no boundaries and his supporters love him for it. Progressives are not a loyal bunch and the price we’ve paid is enormous and rising everyday.

The GOP of Trump never demonizes its own. We progressives can’t help ourselves criticizing our leaders for an absence of perfect alignment with our own views. We lost because Dems failed to turnout not because Trump grew his coalition. How can we rally to leaders we have rather than bemoan them?

How do Democrats craft a winning message if we cannot have an open conversation? Trump won by demonizing transgender people. To say we should have fairness in sports is a far cry from renouncing Governor Newsom’s pioneering support of the LGBTQ+ movement. How do you defuse the trans issue?
