““A saint doesn't know that he's a saint. He does saintly things. And people around him say he's a saint,” Montalbán said, adding that likewise, “An evil man or a villain, I don't think he thinks of himself as being evil.””Always found that insight fascinating and a key to his success with Khan.

This! Be proud of being a liberal, a leftist, a socialist, or whatever you are. Fight back and make the right and the Republican the toxic waste dump of a brand they both so richly deserve.

Is there any reason any of those cops still has a badge? I mean other than that they’re brutal, unthinking thugs and that’s what they’re looking for in Georgia.

Absolutely - many of them have the sole skill of looking good on TV and having good hair. Quite a lot of absolute half wits populating television news these days, although it has likely been that way for a considerable period of time.

Empty brained with the morality of scum sums up rather well democrats who are advocating against fighting.

But again it really doesn’t matter whether or not they had prior criminal records in the first place, since due process actually requires due process. What we have in this case is criminal conduct on the part of the Trump Administration.

yes it’s what it sounds like. But as you’ve repeatedly pointed out for many years what’s really crucial are the actions that follow the words.

‘Junk Tanks’ I think is a wonderfully accurate term for the intellectual lobbying arm of the wealthy and powerful and big corporations. `

They need to be fired from their positions and shamed for the rest of their lives. They’re a goddamned disgrace.

Analogous to a victory and then de-Nazification campaign to rip what the modern Republican Party has become out of the body politic, along with their wealthy funders and press enablers.

Absolutely correct. The Republican brand needs to be turned into a toxic waste dump that only the very worst would support. And there’s plenty of evidence to construct and hammer on the narrative to create that permanent image in the public mind. Because what will be needed is in effect

You wanted to be a holder of a public office with political power? This is the responsibility that goes along with the office.

do they realize the Democratic Party can attack the Administration and Republicans on more than 1 issue at a time? I agree anyone making a statement like that doesn’t belong in politics and additionally should be excluded from society.

Well they have their place if they’re any good - and I’ve yet to see any evidence that the consultants the Democratic Party employs are any good at their jobs. I think a lot of the base would like an answer as to precisely what the consultants are advising the Party to do.

They literally won’t report on his repeated lying and repeated law breaking, won’t follow up his pathetic lying answers with aggressive follow-ups, and continue to attend his ‘press conferences’ to give him what he wants most - TV attention. So absolutely the mainstream media is a big problem.

She needs to be reported to the Bar right now. She’s openly lying about material evidence in the case as well as not complying with judicial orders. No reason not to have her referred to the Bar for removal of her license to practice law.

At this point if there is a god I think that god should come down and ask forgiveness from us for this monstrosity created and justified in his name. I believe something to that effect was carved on the walls of a building at Auschwitz.

Yes but how is it that the law prevents them from hearing from advocates for Trans People? They could have allowed the Advocates to present their position and it would have resulted in a fairer hearing and more complete presentation of the evidence.

How in gods name could the Supreme Court not allow Trans people, or their representatives, to make representations on this case before them. What legal rationale did the Supreme Court employ?

That should be one house Democrat who should no longer have a political career in the party, along with any of the others who support such a position.

That’s what I was wondering as well. Does client attorney privilege extent to cases where an attorney is being directed to undertake unethical or illegal actions, filings, or arguments?

Lipstadt is a horrendous human being. Apparently fine with repeating the road to the holocaust, just as long as it’s a group she doesn’t belong to. Astounding.

The Biden Administration was a raging dumpster fire on the whole issue of the Israeli atrocities in Gaza and the suppression of protests against that in the U.S.

Unfortunately going back to law school wouldn’t have any effect, because what we are seeing is a refusal to comply with the law and constitution rather than errors made because of a lack of understanding of laws and the constitution. The only remedy is disbarment plus a length prison term for her.

The far-right pro-Israel group is a group that does in fact give material support to terrorists - the genocidal Netanyahu regime. Unlike all of the poor people abducted by the Trump Administration and ICE.

The problem is that Bush Administration officials were never held accountable for their crimes because of the idiotic “look forward, not backwards” of Obama and his Administration. And once you decide not to hold powerful lawbreakers accountable, you open up a whole host of horrors in the future.

So it’s literal mass fraud on the part of Doge and the Trump Administration. i hope that it gets challenged in court successfully and that a future Administration will launch massive prosecutions of all the agents of Trump who have brought this to be.

And since Trump is using coercion they can argue that any agreement in place with Trump is null and void. A contract isn’t valid if coercion has been employed by one of the parties to obtain agreement. And it is abundantly clear that coercion has been used by Trump.
comment in response to

So at any point those Law Firms would be fully within their rights to refuse to perform any of the pro-bono work demanded by Trump or his government or to comply with any of the other terms they have agreed to. Coercion is a legitimate defense to any claim of breach of contract made by Trump.

The agreements they have signed with him are unenforceable - they were obtained by him under duress and thus are not valid.

The only people undermining U.S. policy around the world are members of the Trump regime and its leader. Rubio is a damned embarrassment as Secretary of State. But then he was an embarrassment as a Senator and indeed continues to be an embarrassment as an ordinary human being.

You would think that even the Democrats would be able to utilize this as an issue to destroy the credibility of every single Republican politician voting for it. And we’d probably be wrong assuming that to be the case. “There are no good Republicans”should be their central point all the time.

I don’t think the trading partners of the United States are ever going to put much faith or trust again in the country - given that, why would they invest in US treasury or stock markets even if they do have money to invest?Much better to look at investment opportunities outside the United States.
