Trivia: Analog downsized from magazine to digest format after the third issue, making one's prized collection of the whole story look like a disjointed jumble. And, let's have a chorus here, my mom threw them out.

I wasn't reading Analog when it serialized Dune World in 1963-64, but I got hooked immediately when the magazine ran the first installment of Prophet of Dune in 1965. Analog spread the story over FIVE issues, and I nearly twitched with excitement, waiting for each new chapter.
