Did we expect anything better?

That is a great pity. It would be both appropriate and meaningful for all of the football/soccer clubs to do this.

It means a very dear one. Your favorite. A grandchild would be "the apple of Oma and Opa's eye."

How charming! "The apple of [his] eye." Aww! The thing one always does to their Dear One is bomb them to oblivion. K:!! anyone who tells you they're not yours. Try even harder to track and damage them when they don't submit. Yes, the very apple of his eye...

There is no "fix" for enabling unchecked corporate greed. We need regulation to protect us from from cyber abuse of all kinds. Thanks for staying on top of things.

No, the safety of blameless foreign nationals is. Whether they are already here, or just want to travel with a reasonable expectation of lawful ingress and egress.

It is my sincerest hope that people will protect themselves and their loved ones and STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNSTABLE PLACE. The US is becoming a failed state, and Americans who opposed this embryo dictatorship desperately hope that foreign athletes and fans will avoid placing themselves in danger.

Let's keep it that way! #notollroads

The strategic time for strikes are during a) Club World Cup-already weak but with no service, a total flop; b) World Cup; c) Olympics. No service workers--no hospitality.

Maalox and water (1:1) for pepper spray. It may help with tear gas as well. Thank you for your service, you true Americans.

I was trying to find a way to say, "<chef's kiss> Sublime!" and you captured it.

I'm not here to troll you. I'd just like to see this level of concern for areas that are certainly as far-reaching in consequence before it suddenly affects individuals personally. It is good that you are taking the time to chat outside your field.
comment in response to post
You argue this as if you imagine that Americans are wholly out of touch. If you are currently feeling the pain of unrepresentative representatives, then you are now getting in touch with what agriculture (for example) has been dealing with since the Nixon administration. Far-reaching consequences.

I think that understanding runs deeper than you might imagine. Many millions of Americans have been living with protracted damage, but are caught in the cycle of getting by to the extent that, the depth of their understanding takes a backseat to their families' needs.

The fact that general popular discussion speaks of the negative impacts of cutting scientific funding suggests that the OP is utilizing a silly strawman "most people don't know/aren't concerned." Indeed, given the media attention to it, awareness is quite reasonably high. Concern, too.
comment in response to post
Not sure which "people" you are (unscientifically) referencing. The popular discussion I have been privy to, the media coverage, and the universities' (admittedly self-serving) hysteria surrounding these cuts suggest otherwise.

Decent. Through and through.

Is everyone going to overlook the slick weasel taking it just past the deadline for committing to purchase season tickets, or have I got my dates mixed up?

He speaks for so many of us. 😞

That is a foregone conclusion. It has been the policy pursued by big ag for 50 years. Read the Farm Bill sometime. You may find it instructive.

That is the "top" democrats in a nutshell. They have learned nothing in 40 years. 🤦

And 247,000 people did not just apply for unemployment?
comment in response to post
Thank you for not visiting! I think that Americans of conscience sleep better knowing that the nuts who support this regime are not being rewarded, and even more so, knowing that you and other good people will not be terrorized by them. Keep those elbows up. We aren't getting better here yet.

But it's his best pebble. He's had it in his pocket for ever so long.

Yes! This is a gold-plated opportunity for the Dems. But our "leaders" are not resisting effectively. Business as usual for the bugblatter beasts of Congress. Keep your towel handy, folks.

Did those launch themselves a few feet into the air and blow up, also?

If violence is off the table (and it should be), what does this administration rely on to stay in power? What resources can be denied to stop or stall their abuses, and stop the destructive momentum? In short, what ball bearings can we remove from their war on the citizens machine?

Ugh. Your media is as rubbish as ours. A little Kahlua in the coffee, maybe? 😁

Aaaaaand...there goes all that data he stole...

It is time for Mexico to "remove the ball bearings" from the US's supply chain. It was a WWII strategy for hamstringing the Nazi war machine. (See Book and Dagger for details.) It is time for all of us to be smart about disabling the administration and Proj25 now.

Thanks! He thinks so, too 🤭 Also, what is it about ravens? I always see them when I am travelling.

What an idiot. He thinks that he just dropped a bombshell. Gee, Elon, you are amazing, it's like the photos haven't been in plain view for oh, 40 years. All hail the other stable genius. 🤦
