You might be right, maybe I should have asked the question more clearly :D

But this is about your feelings, not objective answers. In general, that’s the point when I design a game, I think about what players should feel, not how logical or rational something is. fantasy is limitless and therefore indescribable. That’s why our approach to fantasy is based on our feelings.

I understand and, of course, I agree with you. It's just that the point of the question was something different. I want to know what is that one thing for people that defines fantasy. As for magic, it's a very broad category. However, thank you for your answer!

Do you mean things like spell casting and such? Yes, but what comes to mind when you think of fantasy?

What does this have to do with the post?

No, I'm a game designer myself. I'm just curious because it might show me a different perspective.

I don't understand your logic, you connected two separate things, which makes no sense to me. But thank you for sharing anyway.

Jim Carrey would have been perfect for this role if he were younger.

I unfollowed you because of drama-baiting.

I don't like the way you describe "Controversy on the Right." I'm neither American nor knowledgeable about politics, but I dislike when lore is altered without reason, no matter how good actor might be.

And as for long hair, it often represents deep experience, while the color black is associated with intense emotions, usually emotional burdens or some kind of negativity. I think an average reader often doesn’t think about these things, but trust me, writers know how to evoke emotions in people.

It’s not about morality; it’s about healthiness. Pale skin is often associated with some kind of curse or sickness, and this is literally a trick in writing. 😄 The fact that you thought I meant morality tells me a lot. 😄

His pale skin and long black hair contribute significantly to the character, making you feel like he is a villain at first. Additionally, his appearance looks ghostly and almost non-human. If this is your argument, I believe you are wrong, but thank you for sharing.

After reading the comments, I realized that many people have an opinion opposite to mine. Can you guys explain why it is acceptable to change a character's visual description when there is a specific depiction in the book? I’m not looking to argue; I’m genuinely curious about what people think.
