Sure the story can play a role in it. But in some cases where the game is bad, if they characters are hot then people will buy it.
comment in response to post
Asian countries gets this. Why do you think stores like SHEIN are extremely popular amongst woman. And games like Stella Blade is extremely popular among men. Both of those things cater to there targeted audience
comment in response to post
Even in fashion guess what? They pick hot woman and guys as their models. Which guess what? The majority of woman like it and buy it.
comment in response to post
Men are still hold the larger portion of the purchasing power in gaming specifically. Not all men are incels. But that still hold the larger percentage of purchasing power in the gaming industry. Just like how woman hold the majority of purchasing power in the fashion industry.
comment in response to post
Yall treat and see incels as some lowlife losers. Even if thatā€™s true, I see them as a potential consumer. Thats the difference. Itā€™s no different than seeing a bunch of radical feminists, or MAGA activists and making a product that caters to them specifically. Itā€™s just business. Nothing personal.
comment in response to post
Itā€™s not a bizarre take. I study business, marketing & psychology. When you trying to gain a profit, you cater the consumers. I think yā€™all are viewing it through a moral lens. Iā€™m not. The audience is obviously there for it. Which is why businesses and gaming companies take advantage of that.
comment in response to post
Thereā€™s a reason most shopping stores have things that cater to mostly woman. Bc that demographic has the larger purchasing power. The same concept applies for games, when it come to hot characters, it caters to men, so have the larger purchasing power.
comment in response to post
Itā€™s no different than saying woman buy things like clothes more than guys do. Women are more likely to shop for fashion online, with 82% of female digital buyers purchasing clothing online in the previous 12 months, compared to 73% of men Not a big difference but in this case woman are the majority
comment in response to post
Maybe so. Another woman said that as well. Even if that is true, in terms purchasing power, males tend to buy more video games more than women do. Even for games that are seen as ā€œwokeā€ thatā€™s just how it is.
comment in response to post
I made an error: ā€¦guys who cared about things like hot characters are teenagers and insecure men.
comment in response to post
Again, You said it yourself. The Guys that care about whether a female protag is hot or not is either an a teenager or a younger insecure males. They are the majority. Which is why the younger age groups they fall into are larger than the older ones.
comment in response to post
So even with what you said. Those younger guys still make the majority of male gamers. Which makes sense due to the fact they tend to not have career jobs, and/or are in school etc. they have a lot more time to play games than the other male age groups.
comment in response to post
You said in an earlier reply how the only type of guys who cared about things like hot characters are women teenagers and insure men. Well based on the graph, the type of men who you deemed as teenagers or insecure, make up the larger percentages in guys who play videos games.
comment in response to post
So based on surveys, when asking men/woman in that particular age range 92% percent 16-25 play video games. And the percentage goes down from there as the age range goes up.

You do you. Auntie.
comment in response to post
Based on what you literally just said about the majority. According to the graph, Those teenagers and insecure men you referring who are often younger make up the majority in terms of male gamers.
comment in response to post
My god. I feel like Iā€™m talking to those Trumpsexuals on X. The chart is a breakdown of the ages that make up both the female and male demographic in gaming. Itā€™s not that hard to understand.
comment in response to post
You sure? Bc those younger ā€œinsecureā€ men make up most of the male demographics in gaming. So my point still stands
comment in response to post
You know what? thatā€™s a great excuse. I wonder what would happened if I made thirsty post about other woman when In in a relationshipšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Oh ik what it is. Itā€™s ironic bc you making posts about what you do to another woman. Sounds extremely down bad. Especially since you put married in your bio šŸ˜‚ you not beating those allegations
comment in response to post
I get it. Yā€™all donā€™t want to accept the reality. But thatā€™s just how it is. It donā€™t matter if you agree or not. Thatā€™s just how it isšŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

The majority of republicans believe Trump won in 2020. And? All that means is that your apart of the masses that are wrongšŸ˜‚ ā€œPeople of here agree with meā€ Damn. Your grown ass needs public validation? Crazy.
comment in response to post
Yeah and majority of MAGA believe the the 2020 election was stolenā€¦ you know what that means. Yā€™all just all wrong šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Ummm miss. Donā€™t projection your weird fantasies onto me. You canā€™t even read. Iā€™m heavily pro-educationā€¦ and people like you are whyšŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Yeah. No fucking shit. And my point was the ones that donā€™t tend not to do as well. Iā€™ll even meet you in the middle and say that even games with average/ok looking characters will succeed way more than a game with ugly characters.
comment in response to post
You: give me proof *provides proof* You: that doesnā€™t prove anything. Are you sure you not undercover MAGA? Bc they make that same dumbass rebuttal. Small pool? Those numbers are based on nationwide statistics.
comment in response to post
Here. All there are either a movie or a game with extremely attractive characters. Look at who makes up the majority of Both audiences. Goes to show that people like hot characters.
comment in response to post
You proved my point. Bc if she was actually ugly and built like Yennefer from the Witcher before she glowed upā€¦. You wouldnā€™t be making down bad comments like that now would youšŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Broā€¦ I never said they do. But the games that tend to not have attractive characters regardless of gender donā€™t do wellā€¦. Thatā€™s just how it is. Itā€™s not that hard to understandšŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Bro Ainā€™t this youšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ crazy.
comment in response to post
Of that 53% Iā€™m referring to the types of elements in games that that 53% like. And yea hot woman is one of those elements that that 53% like. If you donā€™t understand what Iā€™m saying thatā€™s ok bro but at least say thatšŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Oh brother, Not the ā€œSounds like your madā€ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ You just said 53% of gaming was men. And 46% was woman. 53 is bigger than 46 Right? Or maybe Iā€™m crazyšŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Look at Stella Blade for example, I still have no idea what the story of the game is but do you know what I do here often? I hear about how hot the characters are. Hot characters + good Action = success. Look at Overwatch. To this day itā€™s well known for some of its hot character designs.
comment in response to post
The game can absolutely suck, but If it has hot characters. People will buy it. There are a lot games that are absolutely trash. But yet they have made profit bc of the character design.
comment in response to post
Jesus ChristšŸ’€ You keep using the word ā€œonlyā€ to try and distort what Iā€™m saying. I said the majority. Do you know what majority means. It doesnā€™t mean ā€œonlyā€ it means ā€œmostā€ Iā€™m talking about most.
comment in response to post
Whatā€™s a feminine game? A game is a game. Itā€™s the elements of the game that are what attracts specific demographics. And I never said anything about ā€œall menā€ but we know they make up the majority of the industry. Which is why games that are highly popular are targeted to them.
comment in response to post
Bro what? my reply is in context of the original tweet. The original tweet, didnā€™t mention gay men either and was obviously referring to straight dudes. Obviously gay men wouldnā€™t care if a female protagonist was fuckable which is why they werenā€™t the ones being addressed in the original postšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Iā€™m not defending it. Iā€™m just saying how it isšŸ˜‚ Why do you think so many OF girls do cosplay as video game characters. Thereā€™s a reason for that. Itā€™s all connected.
comment in response to post
A man that wants to make you his wife. Holds you in the upmost highest regard. A wife gives a man a sense of purpose and duty. The man goes out and faces the challenges of the world just to provide for you. Ik social media has distorted this concept but thatā€™s what wanting a wife really means.
comment in response to post
The problem with statements like this is that they are both on the extreme spectrum of the relationship dynamic. You should want a man who actually wants a wife. Bc there a lot of men that are fine you being a just a girlfriend, side piece or baby mama.
comment in response to post
But then you could also say: ā€œI want a husbandā€=I want a provider and/or someone to financially and emotionally take care of me and my kids ā€œI want to be a wifeā€=iā€™m ready for a life partnership with the person I love
comment in response to post
At the end of the day itā€™s about appeal to the consumers wants and needs. And Looks play a big role in what makes or breaks a product.
comment in response to post
Your thinking to deep about it. Stop looking at it from a realistic lens Video games are not realā€¦ Everyone knows this. Men know most woman are not super models. However if you can make a product that can get a glimpse of what it would be like to get with one? Lots of Men will buy it.
comment in response to post
Games & movies that are successful cater to there target audiences. In gaming, men like Violent, Sexual & Mature rated games. Thatā€™s why games like Call of Duty, GTA V, etc been popular for decades. We already seen games try to change some of those aspects and those games often donā€™t do so well.
comment in response to post
We got to be honest here. Men like hot women. Women like hot men. Thatā€™s just how it is. Thereā€™s a reason why movies like 50 shades of grey and Magic Mike were extremely popular amongst woman. The same thing applies to men who are attracted to a hot female protagonists in video games.
comment in response to post
Imma play the devils advocate. I get what youā€™re saying, and thatā€™s fine. But when men (who make up the majority of the video game industry) donā€™t buy it or leave it bad reviews. Donā€™t go crying about it on how men donā€™t like it.
comment in response to post
Bro what?? but wouldnā€™t a man who wants to be a husband, want a wife so he can be a husband?šŸ˜‚šŸ˜
