what a nasty night to be stuck behind a landslide up a logging roads in the woods

George Zimmerman and Kyle Rittenhouse are walking free! They're doing fucking speaking tours!

This is so bad

There is still zero reason to let Americans call in on this. Should Radio Ukraine host a call in-show asking Russians what they think of Ukraine becoming the newest Oblast?

#caturday

Cause it's definitely not possible to discuss Trump's threat without accepting his premise 🤷‍♀️ I don't think people are reluctant to talk about it. The framing just suuuuucks You can have tough, nuanced conversations without legitimizing the ravings of a wannabe emperor CBC can - should - do better

It was -10c here last week. +10c here today. On this forest trail, (silty soil, compacted) the subsurface needle ice layer *was* competent while it lasted. But it's rotting in the warm now, and it's really churning up the trail. You can suddenly punch through the rotten ice and sink 5-10 cm.

Dismantling equipment that's already paid for, stranding purchased assets, and shutting down something that saves the government money on fuel. These are the dumbest people on the planet. electrek.co/2025/02/...

petition to call this the Tetrahedron Earthquake since it looks like basically it was right under Tetrahedron Peak (the cool one you see from Spanish Banks and Jericho and places like that)

I felt that!

happy #FoldFriday or #FridayFold or whatever it is ⚒️

I mean, they just fired all the people who enforce this, right? And it's not like you're getting any of the services these pay for anymore? 🤔 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Three online "news" stories published this week that include quotes from me that I didn't say. But I didn't do interviews and get misquoted. And they're not written by actual journalists. My best guess is there are massive amounts of AI slop getting posted as news and now I'm part of it. 😬

No pre-cooked spaghetti sauce ever. This is my personal line in the sand.

Mega thread here on the Mentzelopoulos bombshell allegations of corruption and impropriety within the Alberta government over its contracting process. If Mentzelopoulos has the receipts, this scandal *should* topple the government.

I just read Stephen Harper's open letter and see he seems to be suggesting ratcheting up production of fossil fuels in Canada -- a resource largely owned and exploited by American shareholders -- as the solution to save Canada from Trump.

Sure, Google's data centers consume tens of billions of litres of water yearly and emit more carbon dioxide than many nations, but on the other hand, you can look up Uranus and AI will show you a picture of Neptune. Never in the history of humanity, have we reached such speeds in making mistakes

👀

Gary the Canadian Adventure Cat would like to remind America that if it invades Canada, its children will die, scared, alone and frozen.

... What passenger trains in the rest of Canada? Via Rail is ridiculous, it's a play train for tourists that takes 10x as long as flying and costs twice as much. West Coast Express is BC Transit.

As Premier Smith attempts to obfuscate her, her staff & her MLA’s alleged direct involvement in the procurement scandal by implying it occurred completely within the AHS umbrella, ASK THIS: Then why did she fire everyone in AHS trying to publicly expose & investigate it? #ableg

I’m George Takei and I approve of this message.

“Michael Gerrard, a Columbia Law School prof… said he did not believe the federal gov’t had the legal authority to halt the tolling program. The program was working well, he added, and there was no clear justification for trying to shut it down.” #factfreezone www.nytimes.com/2025/02/19/n...
