I needed a paperback for my own room - can't let the youngsters have my hardback. School library will benefit from a copy too.

Scottish school employ 50k+ teachers who could all engage in action research to bring about these improvements. Sadly they do not have the time or support to meaningfully pursue viable options. The lack of agency and resources further compound this.

It often feels like the data is the *only* thing that's important. Often closely followed by a message that the metrics must be improved, whilst obviously keeping costs down. All to be achieved by those with least agency and greatest accountability.

But if we don't gather the data, how will we know that anything is being done?

Absolutely! Hopefully the ASE will act further and stop working with BP. Being buddies with #BigOil ain't a good look in education for sustainable futures.

With you 100% on the watches. Very recently became even prouder of my eldest when he asked for a watch for his upcoming 21st. Not just any old watch either, a lovely Sternglas Hamburg Chrono. 😍

Great point from Andy to finish about the importance of *time* for teachers to access and engage with professional learning, for preparation and to work together.

Since you asked... Scottish teachers lose hours every week (and often the will to live) when working with a genuinely remarkable piece of software called SEEMIS.

And it's very long overdue for someone from SEEMIS to simply apologise...
