Lloyds Bank in 30 years: (I always liken this scene to the business ethics of banking)

Like since the announcement of the law changes indicating banks could own properties I called it a fundamental conflict of interest for the mortgage lenders to also be able to own the assets.

what happens when you have to pay private landlords for the majority of pensioners to have homes? I'll tell you what happens: you get a cost potentially as big as the NHS

Private rents to organisational landlords like banks and blackrock. Good luck getting through to customer services…

my whole theory about the future is that in maybe 30 years if climate change hasn't done it already everything will collapse because the majority of people in their 70s will be trying to pay private rent with totally inadequate pensions to do it. I'm sure it happens already but not at scale

Yep. His sale keeps us well clear of any PSR issues. Re: his own thoughts - he also needs to be in the World Cup selection window. Would hate to see him go but I can see the reasons to do it.

I guess so? Zubamendi was restructured, but still an additional £5m on top of the £60m. How much is the striker going to cost? Gyo is reported at £70m? Sesko at £70m-100m. Rodrygo is reported at £70m... These are big numbers, I don't think we can lose sight of that.

Think one of the issues is we can’t seem to sell Trossard. All that talk of Saudi league and their money has vanished. GM is a candidate to raise funds re: Rodrygo + a ST but that doesn’t raise our floor.

Yep. 15-20 was a tough one. Fingers crossed he can get over the line. 🤞🏾

At every point this gets actively worse the more you think about it.

Don’t worry poor people. Eat that. Until you’re deployed in a ground war you won’t ever win due to the terrain difficulties in Iran and get sent to be slaughtered like the boys in the trenches in WW1. For Trump.

America™️ is so fucking stupid.

We were in one. Terrible choice when you’re the only one peddling a family of four (three adults) and there’s a lot of wind on the lake.

What’s the party constitution? In the UK they have a leadership campaign every two years. You need viable challengers. (Anyone can apply as long as they have 50 endorsements and three years as a member)

Picnic was fun - pedalos were not.

We do still have gas in the UK (fortunately?) Electric hobs are terrible for cooking South Asian foods (as in you have to change the whole technique which takes ages to learn if you’ve spent your whole life cooking on gas).

I think they learned that they can do whatever the fuck they want without pushback from the rest of the world, so there is that. It's not a good lesson, a moral lesson, but they're right - they can wreak havoc around the world and nobody will do a thing to stop them. The laws mean nothing.

Me too. I wouldn’t put it past them though. London’s been so gutted of culture lately I’ve just been waiting for it for a while
