I'm guessing he thinks there are hurricanes on Mars.

Yup; just gonna tap the sign again...

I recommend this book to everyone I can! I usually lead with "and the lawyer coauthor is a libertarian"

...and arrest the plant *owners* and *managers*.

That is beautiful! I love this image and it would be useful for teaching astronomy, too. Of course, we tried just changing units of things to avoid big numbers. But even in solar masses, galaxies get to billions. *sigh*

Both my grad school and my current institution have brown and gold as their colors because both of them razed a field of brown-eyed susans in order to expand their campus.

It's going to hit 300k deaths. The man-boy is a ghoul.

Shoot on man on a street -> charged with murder. Kill 300k people -> 🤷‍♂️

This is great. I think the *largest* district size we should ever accept would be a double-WY rule: WY gets *two* Reps, and that sets the ratio. Cube root rule would be OK. I hate the "can't add them all at once" BS. We've suffered with too few for too long!

With all due respect, do seriously not realize that Dems have *no* say in how the SecDef runs his department?
comment in response to post
What do you want them to do here?

Even when fascists try to be nerdy, they get all on point. In LotR they were used by Sauron to enthrall and dominate Saurman and Denethor.
comment in response to post
Because if they're fascist shadows, they're good shadows.

This is why he's have the DoD get the gift, not him. :wink wink:

...where the old giant oak used to stand on the corner of the old Dawson place that the Taylors now own...

The one I worked at (mid 80s) in Saint Paul MN had a giant wall map of the metro area so we could answer those questions for directions. And the tow drivers could plot their courses.

Or, like, have her aides read it and give her possible issues.

They really think of FDR as a class traitor. They just can't see that *everything* he did was to help preserve the upper class because without his marginal reforms, the guillotines were on the way.
comment in response to post
They don't have to be....
comment in response to post
So you have no clue what fascism means. Got it.
comment in response to post
Well, that's a lie.

The DNC followed its rules as written. That you didn't like that is moot. Do you *really* think the RNC was going to redo all its primaries if trump had died before the election?
comment in response to post
Can we go back and do the same with Reagan?

There are only crappy servers because server pay is crappy.
comment in response to post
If you think 10% is great, stay home.

I've never had service that sucked in Europe.
comment in response to post
I've stopped rating and just do blanket 20%+
comment in response to post
You only have to read a few comments by folks who think it is correct for servers to have to dance for them to realize how horrible the situation really is.
comment in response to post
Absolutely!

We'd be FAR better off setting up strip-mining on the Moon or crunching up asteroids for rare-earths. There's at least a return on those expenses.
comment in response to post
I don't think this is something the average person really gets. I tell them: think of the most dangerous place you can on Earth (not critters, just environment) and how quickly you will *die* there. Everywhere on Mars will kill you much more quickly.

Thank you! My wife insists they are "lighting bugs" so this is pretty much the only thing we constantly argue about.
comment in response to post
And what he isn't killing he's giving to Musk

If the people want to move and the cartels are helping them, that is *not* human trafficking. Please go learn something.

Even more so if it's to a gulag in a country that's not their country of origin.

I know that is exactly what citizens already here said about your ancestors when they arrived and were allowed to freely enter.

How do you know if you don't present evidence?

I'm watching for Kaitlin to break now. When he compared deals to negotiating with his partner that broke her up. This one it looks like she's already grinning waiting for something.
comment in response to post
Kaitlin is clearly on to you now, as she's introducing you she's running through her mind what funny thing you're going to be saying. On top of all the great econ stuff of course.

My favorite galaxy. As an undergrad I used Hα images (in AIPS) to catalog the positions and brightnesses of 1117 giant HII regions. I had to write code to contour plot the conglomerates and hand-measure radii to divvy the brightness into individual areas. It was a blast of a project!

The funny thing with all these radical christianists is they know God never requested anything. God commanded. They just don't care. Unless they are using their misinterpretations to clobber others.
comment in response to post
Cons don't care; they just caused 300k deaths when Musk ended USAID.
comment in response to post
Oh, yes, that's what I was getting at: carve up our states so we have a more democratic Senate.
comment in response to post
That made me laugh so hard I'm going to bookmark it for whenever I'm feeling down.

It's a dream of mine to write a paper where the title is nothing but acronyms and initializations. I think I may have to budge a bit and allow linking words. Some combo of NASA IRTF MRO CRISM NIR PCA/SVD HCSI MCMC-GCM

Little Marco really did fall into line, didn't he?
