The fact self-driving car company bosses now talk about the problem/challenge of "levels of jaywalking" in the UK is a concern. They're clearly trying to talk it into existence so they can suggest authorities clamp down on it. GB News, Talk, Daily Mail etc are likely to let them get away with it
