Stop it. They don't allow editing on here so there's nothing I can do about the grammar.

Ok. My bookclub said they were enjoying the audio. I don't mind a bit of shifting between audio and hardcopy. I listen in the car gardening, painting then read to fall asleep

It's like proving it's possible to "get into the market" is more important than being able to securely live near family, old friends, work etc.
This discourse breaks up communities and communities are more important than ever.

I tell mine they're only allowed to use the thesaurus to remember a word they already knew.

Umberto Echo was a child under Mussolini and (whether he got it right or wrong) Echo still felt it was important as an adult to define what fascism is.
I recommend giving it a read. It's way easier than Origins of Totalitarianism and easier to draw comparisons.

A defining trait of fascism is positioning itself as a defender of the society’s noble, threatened heritage, including traditional religion, against those outside forces that would disempower the (actually powerful) in-group. This helps distinguish it from other forms of totalitarianism.

We can´t ignore the fact that the regimes share knowledge and tactics. they see what goes nice and what doesn't engage in which country, and apply accordly.

Capitalism/ extortion/ corporatism/ fascism and Christianity have been bedfellows since the beginning.
One provides the moral rationalisation for the other. They can't do without each other.

like put1n uses church too. I see some anchor in religion in all of fascists/fascists wannabes. (and CN controls religion too).

I'm aware that Nazism isn't technically fascism but I don't think that point really matters. Maybe it does. Wasting time debating technicalities is how we got here.
They suck the air out of the room with disinformation on purpose so opponents are distracted from the real issue while correcting.

Dead right. America has exported fascism as part of its Munroe doctrine for a long time. The banana republics offer endless examples. As well as more widely: Vietnam, Iran, Egypt...the list is long.

I mean....Pinochet literally worked with Chicago School economists and Milton Friedman thought all his Christmases had come at once in Chile. US have been building regimes and supporting fascism for a Very Long Time.
Franco used the church.
Fascism has evolved since Hitler.

No ed tech "innovation" has saved time for anyone actually using it. They are only ever an accounting cost saving, as the new/extra work is done for 'free' by students and staff.
