@drlinneasoler.bsky.social & I have had such joy working with our students! Josh has been exploring experiences of rural students in HE, while Francesca has been investigating what influences lecturers' teaching. Fascinating work from these two projects! @edusky.bsky.social @uofgchem.bsky.social

I hate these stairs so much, why did someone design them like this?? 😬

It's that time of year again - our BSc Hons @uofgchem.bsky.social students are presenting their work! Lots of exciting projects being shared. Very proud of all the class!

Don't forget to join us for tomorrow's #LTHEchat which will explore designing for diverse learners with Lee Fallin @leefallin.bsky.social, Tom Tomlinson @tomtomlinson.bsky.social and Gemma Spencer @gemmaspencer.bsky.social. Wednesday 8-9pm GMT. Read the blog post at: lthechat.com/2025/02/09/l...

Writing is thinking. It’s not a part of the process that can be skipped; it’s the entire point.

This is what's so baffling about so many suggestions for AI in the humanities classroom: they mistake the product for the point. Writing outlines and essays is important not because you need to make outlines and essays but because that's how you learn to think with/through complex ideas.

@uofglasgow.bsky.social looking intriguing and cloaked in mystery this evening

Today the undergrad students in our CHERPS section presented on their work so far in their ChemEd/SoTL projects. I'm blown away by how awesome and articulate their presentations were, how much work they've done within a short time, and the quality of their work. What a delightful day!

Today has been such a thought-provoking whirlwind of a day! πŸŒ€ Exploring media opportunities in morning; then learning about interview methods from @annakwood.bsky.social. Followed by absolutely amazing chat about creativity with @drntasler.bsky.social & Linnea, and Becca & Sunita from Washington πŸ’œπŸ€―πŸŽ‰

Ok added some people very quickly but I have seen many more of you here! If you identify as part of the chem ed community (researcher, practitioner, SoTL) please reply here so I can add you ;) #ChemSky go.bsky.app/VK9NCju
