My wife works in a college writing center. She helps students go over their papers and make them better.
They just recently put into place a policy where they check the links to the sources cited. If they aren’t real, they don’t read the paper and send an email explaining why they don’t read AI.

There is also a side tirade about how using disabled people in defense of AI is actually ableist as fuck and rarely comes from people with disabilities, nor are the people working on this technology asking us what we need.

Sadly no, and I swear if those workshops include "help disabled students with-" i will appear in front of the room with a whole ass tirade about no, it actually doesn't help, and even in the few potential use cases, the misinformation rate is too high to provide any actual help.
