Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.” There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

Early January we took the Troop to hike the Everglades. It's peak season and they already seemed stretched thin. With the new directives dismantling the Parks Service, all I can think of is that at least the guys have a good memory. Who knows what this will be like in a few months.

My maternal unit used to criticize the nuns of my school for insisting on a God full of mercy and kindness. She thought that it was Catholicism Lite. I, for one, am grateful that they focused on social justice. I applaud @mariannedgarbudde.bsky.social for staying true to the message of the Gospel.
